What have you done to your car today?

Three of them at the MOT station today, and they still couldn’t find anything to fail the old girl on. 22 this year.

I think this came out ok :) . New badges, stickers, and 12mm spacers to go on this weekend. Going to try ceramic coating them too while they are new and clean.

Collected my refurbished interior parts. New sponges, leather repainted, gyeon leather shield added for protection. (640 euros)
The guy that refurbished leather parts also repainted the new center console button from aliexpress, looks like new.
Also bought all new beige cover strips from main dealer, plastics that go from footrest to the back (3 parts each side). (150 euros)
Will mount tomorrow :driving:

At last i got my car dyno and tuned, small boost e85 fuel 396whp/513wnm 0.6Bar.

Where did you go for yours? I need to get mine on the dyno soon, once I have the custom exhaust fitted in February.

VANOS refurb went well and definitely notice an improvement in smoothness of acceleration, responsiveness and more power. Brilliant and from the sounds of other people’s experiences it’s only going to get better.

Put the Big Red refurbed calipers back on with new pads and discs on the front. The picture doesn't do them justice but I'm very happy. Now for the fun bit.

The seats look amazing!!!

Finally got the new water pump installed. But because it’s now working properly, it’s putting too much stress on the connection between the radiator and reservoir connection. New total aluminum radiator coming in Tuesday. Also got new fender clips in and put those on. That was a total beast! That was about as bad as putting on the water pump. Today I’m just gonna chill and go wash her and continue to fix a few plastic welding issues on the interior.

Condensation in in the starboard headlight. Left this running for 3 hours with the back cover off and a blast from Deb's hairdryer every 15 min or so to shove some dry air around inside and job Done. Thought the video would be a bit boring. 😴

Brembo, rotors are good (10kkm), but breaks pads sucks - after few km they squeal, i have changed to my favorite Textar F/R - TEXTAR 2328702, TEXTAR 2193402, brakes pads are well without bad noises, only, they are very dirty and they are softer.
This type of textar i have on all cars, E70/ E63/ E85/ E53.

Hopefully you replaced both headlight cover with a new one. Those rubber gaskets dry up over time.

Do you find drilled brembos louder than a standard rotor? I had drilled Zimmermanns on my e39 and they were louder than the previous standard discs, at least when they were new. Later they got quieter or I just got used to the noise. When I replaced them with standard discs back again I didn't really noticed the new rotors to be quieter. But the inner holes on the Zimmermanns got filled, maybe that silenced them.
I am however thinking of trying the drilled brembos on my Z4 in the future.

Has anyone had drilled brembos to work with Ate Ceramic pads?
