Impressive, I prefer the back Msport interior personally… have you also changed the roof?
EDIT: just realised roof was wet in one photo and dry in another

enuff_zed said:The Anti Roll Bar (ARB) hangs through two rubber bushes. The ends are then connected to the suspension via links. In the UK these are more commonly referred to as 'droplinks'.jenniferlouise said:i’m none the wiser… what are these? Why would you change them? What difference does it make or is this maintenance only? Thanks. (Technical knowledge extends to fuel in the hole in the side of car)BumpyZ4 said:Installed new front ARB end links (Meyle HD).
On the front these are about 6 inches long with a ball joint at either end. One end bolts to a hole in the end of the ARB, the other bolts to a bracket on the suspension damper housing. They need ball joints to allow for the wheels turning.
On the rear they are about 3 inches long and basically solid with a hole at each end. One end bolts to the lower suspension arm, the other end simply push fits over the end of the ARB allowing a litlle lateral movement.
When I say 'simply push fits' thefre is a degree of poetic licence. It is a real PITA to get these on, especially while lying under the car on a gravel drive!
The rears can break, but are generally pretty robust.
The fronts can generate an MOT failure if the rubber boots on the ball joints are split, allowing debris in to damage the joint.

They actually look pretty good!Barty said:IMG_0757.jpeg
Fitted a set of winter wheels I managed to pick up for €80. Gives me a chance to freshen up the CSL reps and prep some maintenance for spring…

Much nicer than the 158s I've got on my E90. And your smart looking E91 should be handy for your parts buying trips!
Thanks! Next trip is planned for early march
Really liking the new look actually. Looks smart against the green
