Seems Royal Mail have let me down, they were posted last Thursday and still no sign of them appearing, so might have to re-plan the weekend!

Indeed! Although I still need to figure out some way to mount the cooling pipe from the E46. The rest looks pretty simple to me in all honesty, so it should be child's play for a man of your skill Mike!

Does it run in front of the radiator pack or below it? Can you not alter the original brackets?

It's meant to run in front of the radiator, assuming the brackets are present on the Z4. However it also requires removal of the expansion tank, which I don't much fancy after flushing it all with new fluid a couple of months back!
Might see if there's anywhere else suitable, or see if I can feed it through from underneath somehow. Even just a temporary fix for the time being and possibly adding a universal oil cooler to the loop to replace at a later date.

had Jack at royals refurb my wheel and I'm loving it, think it's a little thinner than msport, but nicer IMO. Highly recommend him!
next cosmetic job is get that brushed aluminium wrapped in leather when there's some spare cash lying around

Can't see how you'd need to remove the expansion tank, as that's on the back of the rad pack? I'd just disconnect the hoses from the cooler and feed them through past the rads, before reconnecting?

Jack's work is top notch! I had my Std wheel done, with double padding and perforated sides, and I loved it. However, I swapped it for an ///M wheel when the (free) opportunity arose..
You are right that it's not quite as thick as the ///M wheel, but I found it easier to get my fingers around the latter, I think this is because the std wheel is "round" whereas the ///M one is more "triangular" if that makes sense?
Will be sending my ///M wheel off to get done with the perforated sides at some point though..
