I'd love to know what you think of the new cams once they're fitted

if someone was looking at 2 cars with identical miles and one has £3k of work done to the engine, then im sure the car would look more desirable..
If its worth £1000 more to that same buyer is down to them i guess...
As a guy that keeps his eye on the M cars, what would you pay for it Andy with the work done ?

Got me on the spot![]()
i would look at it as i would a Porsche with the even more expensive engine rebuild , , happy to take it but not prepared to pay any more for it .
Seen regularly in Posrche world when a seller try's to regain some credibility & value to the a car by stressing the benefits of the rebuild but in reality it rarely adds much to the sale price other than some form of contentment to a certain buyer .
If i was looking at 2 similar specced ,similar standard, similar mile Z4Ms & 1 had major engine work done but was £1500/£2k more expensive id go for the cheaper one as i don't believe it will happen to all carsbut that could be me being naive :?

Personally I would change the oil often... Certainly at least once between the specced service intervals.
Make sure coolant is changed on time .. Operating temps kept as low as possible is the best preventative measure you can take ..
BTW.... My oil temp was between 5/10 degrees lower using Mobil one than castrol..used millers too, excellent oil with good temp control

how many cars have you had with over 80k on the clock and how many of them have let you down?
