Gonna need a brave buyer for this, but it's already on £7,500 with nearly 5 days to go..

Silly Money. :crazydude: Not sure I agree with finding a chasis number and building a new car around it. Hardly the genuine original article when done. But if some one wants it enough. :tumbleweed:

Agree these desirable ford prices are out of control

I mean it's 75% nostalgia 25% car right - you just need to drive one to realise they are automotive relics

That price is mental, looks like no part of that is in a useable condition I guess they are just paying for the chassis number!

I think the reason for the high bids is the fact this is an RS 2000 , the tennis racquet head rests, and the wheels , make me think this , the droop snoot nose has been had by some on at some stage , , made famous by the 'Doyle' in the professionals , when I was in my twenties I loved this car , I love the my 2 shape with the works rally arches as well , silly me should have brought one , :headbang: :headbang:

I actually had a yellow RS2000 custom about 15 years ago. Bought as a runner but the bit and A pillars were shot. It was compete though. Never got round to doing it and sold it for £1500 when we moved to our last house as only had a single garage. Wish I remembered the reg to check up on it! :(

That'll come up lovely with a bit of T-Cut !

Seriously though... £7500 bid so far ?! I could think of better things to do with my money. :o

Finding myself hankering after a 205gti at the moment, a 1.9 with power steering. Just a case of finding one that needs work as I'm not paying north of £5k for one!

Mike

Old Ford prices are just crazy, the bloke not greedy though as the bidding started at £250, just crazies who want it

Probably that Ant Anstead and Phil Glenister, it will end up fully restored on channel 4 and sell at auction for some daft like a £100k!!!

Crazy world, it will be like virtually all classics, nice to look at but bloody awful to drive!

I had a lime green one back in the day , taxed tested and quite a decent rust free car , I sold it for about £750 if I remember properly :headbang:
