Theres some cheap E89s out there ..........the 3.0 sapphire black I owned for a couple of weeks was on a dealers forcourt for 11,500 and that had every option , I offered 11,000 for it and drove away complete with a warranty

Wonder if they get the asking price for it £8500 seems like a bit of a bargain.

Some cheap e89s about at the moment. It's alot of car for the money even in the standard spec. Lack of sports seats would always be the deal breaker for me though I found the standard seats so uncomfortable when I sat in one with them.

A dealer offered me 12,000 for my 3.5i so I took his money Thursday 2009 with 48200 miles and mostly BMW independent history :)

Why ?

Seeing E89s @E85 money made me nervous so I baled while I had the chance cracking car though ..now I'll use a VW Caddy van through the winter and save up a bit more

Always good to see a hopeful ask :P but this seller must have been hibernating or in some sort of timewarp
59 plate Se spec 35i on 49k for £19k

Do you think they mean Its had a new DCT gearbox fitted, at only 49K?

That things been up for sale for about 4 months.....
At that price no wonder!
Maybe £13k would get it sold on a good day......

I thought that was looking OK - until I got to the photo of the seats! Just No!

That 09 3ltr is a good enough buy for someone.

Here's a decent priced car that keeps catching my eye:

http://www.fraserchadwickmotors.co.uk/used-cars/BMW

It's really tempting, but it's the same colour as my 2.5 and doesn't have parking sensors. Although it's 4 years newer than mine, it's mileage is slightly more but still very low!
Reckon it would cost me mine plus £7k and I think I would question whether or not going from a 2009 2.5 to a 2013 2.8 Msport was worth £7k?
Any thoughts? I currently feel that the 2.5 sounds lovely and is a very pleasing car which has seen most of its depreciation out. The 2.8 probably has a good few thousand £ of depreciation to go and is it worth paying £7k on top of what I have already?

2.8 msport

In direct comparison i think the 28i would feel quicker due to the turbo feel & remapped would feel very potent .
It would be noticeably harsher on Msport + 19s , only you know if the extra £7k is worth the spend

No longer a dilemma to concern me, its sold!

Worth a mention for those hunting 35Is / white 2010 Msport I was close to buying from its private owner for £15200
: both rear 296s have splits in them ( repaired) + 1 of the 4 adaptive ride shocks replaced
Sold on to a dealer , you make up your own mind if its worth the ask
