Your car prices are sooo cheap in the UK :o
Currently in Oz we have on the market :
a 2010 E89 23i with 60,000km for $39,000 (23,700 UK pounds)
a 2010 E89 30i with 78,000km for $42,000 (25,500 UK pounds)
a 2009 E89 35i with 48,000km for $43,000 (26,100 UK pounds)
We only have a small market, BMW Australia only sold 220 E89 35i models and our used car prices are line ball with a similarly aged and conditioned Boxster S. I paid a premium for my manual version as only 20 of them came into the country.

I guess you are more in line with the European (Mainland) Market, the UK market is fairly small due to the cars being RHD and not many people want them in the nearby regions outside of the UK.
Most USED cars in mainland Europe are almost double the price compared to the UK, and this is due mainly to the high demand for used cars especially from Africa & Eastern Europe as ALL African and EE countries are LHD.

I paid 12,400 for my 59 3.5i two months ago and have been offered 12,000 by a dealer to sell for cash today which im considering......or might have it mapped

I think the Cat D is the killer..... even when minor, it makes people worried and it can be a real pain to move on, as your mate is finding out...

Mind you if it was made Cat D 6 years ago when worth big money, it must have been a fair bit of damage...

Yep makes sense , so its Se spec which imo is no big issue with 89s :? Is it on 19s ?
Why selling so soon ?

Yes 19in 296s....... I I like the car but not convinced about its performance hense the possability of a remap to an alledged 396 bhp and 504 nms of torque

Looks nice & not into it for silly money either .
Remap to 396bhp from the 35i ? :? really ? i thought that just under 400 was achievable from 35Is but less from 35i without major surgery
After my first dalliance with e89 last year i know what to expect , ownership buzz & handling is never going to WoW the same as my current ZMR even with big bhp but i'm after different set of virtues with this one

I;m told no hardware changes just a software install........

A jump of almost 25% from simple remap would be a decent return for £200 investment

Id be ready for closer to 355/360bhp tho

Yes I agree , it does look too good to be true...........he is someoe I know but not a mate as such.....suppose I'm going to have to put my money where my throttle pedal is lol............all that for a car that never goes more than 50 mph all week ( I use a VW Caddy for general running around )

Worth doing & maybe it will hit bigger numbers ?
Keep us posted as my target is 35i 35Is & remap will be on the agenda

There was a guy who come to Ducklakeview for some coding when I was at his. He is on here and his is decatted and mapped up to 397bhp apparently

Yep its more than doable with a few tweaks but a simple remap from 306bhp to 396bhp would be impressive :?
