So I can't help but feel that the front intakes are looking a bit ricey/chavvy/ott/old fashioned now and to clean up the look of the car, either removing them or wrapping them perhaps in a dark CF would be a good idea. What do you think? Do the vents look good OEM or should I clean up the look?
See.. I quite like the kidneys silver... they match the new LCI repeaters and keep your eyeline at a specific point from the nose to the rear of the car. What I find distracting about the lower intakes is they take your eye off the line of the car, dragging the visual of the nose of the car down to the ground. I'm trying to get a less ricey look and IMHO making the grilles and intakes black could also add to that modded look which I want to try and avoid TBH.
Here we go, all PS blacked out... not sure I like it. Not with the white UK reg plate on the front, might look good without that but all I see now is a bland front end with big white rectangle on it.
Word of warning tho they are chip magnets. Rubbed down and resprayed mine 3 times in 2 years because chips are so noticeable. Pet hate but love the look.

I think I might order some CF wrap online then, give the lower intakes a whirl, CF should be dark enough to hide them and add a bit of interest. I can always peel that off if I don't care for them.
