get these

http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-headlight-accent-lights/led-angel-eye-headlight-accent-lights-with-t3-14-adapter/878/

and the diffusers

http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-headlight-accent-lights/led-product/660/

I would if it wouldn't cost me 90 quid. Can't afford that atm :( what makes you think the english ones would look shite?

they will look cheap and nasty when fitted (and not one) - I would save a bit more cash and get the USA ones, quite a number of here have these fitted and they look near OEM with the diffuser/covers fitted - more so as you don't see the led 'dots' as the light is fractured and diffused within the cover

Ccfl are only £20. They are very good, in my opinion look better than the led version as they are much thinner.

I would disagree, I've had both and the ccfl's are blue'ish in colour, are not a complete circle of light and look very DIY when looked as closely

Without the diffusers yeah they would. But is there any difference in the rings themselves? As I could buy 4 diffusers from the US of A for 8 dollars and the rings from the uk at 33 quid delivered no? If nobody knows if these are any good I might just buy one pair and see what they're like. If they're s**t I'll send them back. But it should be possible for half the amount the whole lot from the usa costs imo.

Are the ccfl rings dimmer than the leds? Tbh I prefer the slight bluish tinge but would sacrifice that for extra brightness.

The USA are very good quality, the ones you are looking at are cheaply made, Infact something you could make yourself

Put it this way - do you really want to put cutting your headlights open again, if and when these cheap ones fail?

Your call...

Actually considered making my own! Obviously I wouldn't be happy if they failed but the way I've opened my lights I've done away with the top edge of the lip so only need to run a blade around the inner lip to re-open. If you know something about those ones I posted then fair enough. Why do you think they are of any lesser quality than the US ones?

F $#@ it I've ordered a pair. If they're shite I'll return them and get the gf to buy me some from the states for Christmas. Ranski, I'll report the result whether it be positive or negative and maybe you'll get the chance to say I told you so!

Very minimal blue hue, however I find the brightness of CCFL is just right. Too bright LEDs and the rings are bright blurs rather than crisper rings. They're also much smaller. I find the LEDs with diffusers look massive, like thick spectacles haha. I mean look back at the pics of them being sanded and fitted. Huge!

The gap in the CCFL is small as seen in my pic, and doesn't detract from the effect. Some people intentionally mask part of the CCFL to add a break, of course some fitments aren't full rings.

Each to their own but if budget is important, as it seems to the last poster, I can't see why you'd step over CCFL for LED at twice the cost.

If the usa rings were the only other option id get the ccfls. Do you have a link to the ccfls btw?

My cheapo uk rings have arrived after just 2 days. I can't comment on whether they'll last but first impressions are very good. Connected them to a bike battery and they're mega bright! Couldn't look directly at them! You cant see the individual leds either. Struggled to photograph them due to the brightness but heres the pics.
