The inside ring looks smaller in pictures 3?

Look very nice anyway and can't wait to get mine done!

Thanks.

That's because the diffusers cast more light / width from an angle

Great, now i have to cut mine open again to add the diffusers to mine, really shouldnt have looked at the pics with them installed, was happy with my LED's without them before :headbang:

On another note im suprised i havnt seen you cruising around ranski as we live so close :driving:

That looks brilliant Ranski! Too job mate!
Did you end up finding a resistor that worked or just left the sidelight at the rear?

Job done on mine too today. Reopened and fixed. Took about 2 1/2 hours he to cleaning all the silicone off!! :headbang:

Thanks

No I was concerned about the amount of heat they knock out so I bought the below and hung then in the back

Looks good.
I ended up putting mine in the indicator stalk well so no light could get through and it kept them in 1 place!

That's a good idea!

That's not so bad for aftermarket lights. Do you have any pics of them with the lights or angels on?

Not any pics yet at night. These are true xenons (6000K) but you can forget about the brightness of the AE's on these aftermarkets, they're useless.

Aah, crap..

My Wife is off to her mums with the little ones for a few nights so I guess I now know what I am doing tomorrow after work!!! :headbang:

Those who saw yesterday how much silicone I'd put on it must be the rear? May slap some more on anyways and copy Mark with some black material to cover it up after!

I've had it on mine as well Luke

It's a pain in the ass, it really is...

In the end I did as you mentioned as caked the rubber membrane on the back hatch with silicone. It's been ok since, but its a bumper off job to get a good seal

Second time now!! First with the AE falling of and now this condensation!
At least I don't have to separate it again though this time. Take off the unit and dry the nuts off it! Cake silicone round the whole thing again including the rear door (thanks Ranski!)
The Xenon went also this evening so I am going to have to open the ballast up and dry the inside to get that up and running again (worked on the other side so hopefully will do the same this side) true labour of love! at least I am able to sort it tomorrow though

Luke- you could ring Sopers, think its about £10 for each of the rear hatches and new seals. I went that way after first getting the condensation and failed ballast... If you're removing the headlights and drying them out, perhaps an option?

Also, I sourced the ballast from eBay, cost around £70 IIRC with a 12 month guarantee.

All complete!!

Took ballast off and there was a little water inside but nothing that would really kill it. Looked OK.

Thought I may as well go the whole hog and strip them back again so I took all the silicone off again (wasn't as bad this time actually)

Dried the ballast and light unit out then resealed.
Xenon still not working though :headbang: I suspect it may be the igniter as the ballast seemed alright. May just get a retrofit ballast and igniter off eBay and see if that works.

Whilst the bumper was off I took the time whilst the silicone was drying to clean up my fog lights and wrap the bottom centre of the bumper in CF wrap. Will take pics tomorrow as its a little late now!!

At least one more front end off till its sorted. Bonus is I can now take it all off in 5 mins!! :D
