Not bad with the cover on!

The main thing that worried me was the brightness but they've more than suprised me. Why they had to make the surface yellow I don't know as you wouldn't need diffusers as you cant see the individual leds. Unless you put sunglasses on

FWIW, I had the cheap CCFL's in mine initially and within a month, one died on me and when fitted in the car, I thought they were a little too dim, so I bit thr bullet and bought 4 from the US, as Ranski has recommended to you and they are MUCH brighter! Not as even a light distribution as the CCFL ones, but better quality IMHO & a lot brighter.

Cheers.

Well I'm not sure on the reliability of the ones I've bought but they are mega bright like I said I couldn't look directly at them lol. My lights will be easy to reopen although I really hope I don't have to. It's a shame the factory halos on my lights aren't the same size. The outer diffusers are 80mm but the inner ones are smaller so need to find another pair.

They look great! Worth a punt for that price aswell
Good find and hopefully they do the job nicely! They look pretty damn bright too!!

I've just bought a set of diffusers from the recommended US site using the first class international service. Does anyone know when I should expect to recieve them? Btw it's cost 15 including postage for the diffusers and 33 for the uk halos. So if eveything goes as planned it will have cost me 48 gbp for everything as apposed to 90.

Have you tried fitting the new LEDs yet? Don't those ones have the wiring coming out of the side rather than the top? How does that interfere with the fitting?

Thanks for keeping it in this thread!
Can you pop a picture up of them lit up?

Yeah I've been meaning to do that but I didn't have a battery to hand at the time. But I will test and take a pic at the weekend and hopefully get some more work done on the headlight :)

A 9V one will light the LEDs
