Just wondering if there are any downsides really

There's a central jacking point under the engine, but my jack isn't long enough for that, and I know others have jacked the car from the rear, but I was trying to avoid doing that due to space restrictions.
Any thoughts?

The M is the easiest to jack because of that central point. Even if you drive on a plank to be able to get the jack underneath. It really surprises me that you can not reach that point with a trolley jack though?
sixspeed said:remove it. You won't have to *learn* then. The CDV takes out all the clutch feel from the driving experience. The minute you get back into the car after making the mod, you'll drive the Z like any other car you jump into. It all becomes natural and you don't even think about it. You shouldn't have to concentrate on clutch engagement as much as the CDV makes you. It's a crappy design.

Ignore the doom-sayers with their drivetrain talk. My Z4MC has covered 76k miles now, a lot of them on track, and with it's fair share of spectator-pleasing burnouts at Le Mans etc. Still original clutch, no abnormal noises/wear to the gearbox, diff etc. It's not an issue.

pvr, I most definitely noticed the difference on my M.
