Anyone regretted selling up?

said as someone who has no children.... you only have one child, why do you both need a car that can transport them? the little'un can only go in one car at once...

put both you and missus on both cars, then whoever has the little'un takes the family car, and the other takes the zed?

So I've been toying with the idea of selling up (while I can still squeeze some money out of it) and trading for a 135i Convertible.

My opinion for what it's worth....
Whilst 100k is a mental barrier for some buyers your is so close to it that tipping over this mileage is unlikely to affect the value of your car greatly. When the new car comes out it will exert a downward pressure on older Z4, but it's the E89 that is more likely to feel it. E46 3 series don't suddenly drop in price when a new 3 series comes out for example. The E85 has lost most of its value already and if anything the older, 'original' shape may be more appreciated against the new Z4, as well as being in a completely different price bracket.
If I'm wrong and your car does drop a bit with regard to points 1 and 3 it will be far less depreciation compared to a newer 1 series convertible. Use it and enjoy

Sold a few over the years I think I should have kept. Most recently a 205 gti last month for what I considered stupid money. But it just never ever got used and word of mouth ended up with a friend of a friend offering me great price when I wasnt planning a sale. That said im already starting to regret it but maybe that's just the hoarder in me.

Keep the Z, as long as you have a second vehicle as the family car, its fairly easy to live with a Z4 as a second car. On family days out or when kids are with you, Z4 stays home!
