Anyone sold and regretted it?

Mine only went last month after 8 happy years (green code now owns it) and it still odd when I go into garage and it's not there, I've now got a new 4 series convertible diesel /auto which is surprisingly quick but doesn't handle anywhere near the zed, still one of the best I've owned....but never say never :driving: :D

Sold mine in December last year after owning it 7 years and can say I really don't miss it, as long as you replace it with something just a fun. :)

I'm having to sell my beloved e30 ragtop to make room for my z4 coupe, which hasn't arrived yet. Time will tell if it's a good trade. 1st post.

Welcome to another Coupe owner!

Hope to see some photos once it arrives!

IMO sell and get a BMW 325ti as an interim whilst you ponder returning back. I did over 140k miles in mine over 5 years. I purchased a Zed and then traded my 325ti for an e60 5-Series. I miss my 325ti but love the 5-series. Hound will be comfortable in the 325ti boot and you will get 2 more seats in the back as contingency! I consider the 325ti engine as one of BMW's best so you should have few issues during ownership plus these cars are appreciating if looked after. Sell again when you are ready and then come back to Zed ownership. Simples :D

Sold my coupe about 2 months ago now for a seat leon Cupra.

Really enjoying the seat and as a daily it is a better all rounder. There is no escaping the fact I do miss the noise of the 3.0si though.

I think you just move on, seeing mine for sale hasn't troubled me too much. Hope it goes to good home. Dealer is superb if anyone's interested..

Had mine 12 years now, from new. Could never bring myself to sell and never will.

I've done 73k miles and it hasn't been used as a daily drive for many years, I'm only putting 1.5k miles or so a year on.

I've still got an issue with driver window alignment (very frustrating), but other than that for a 54 plate 2.2 it's in pretty good nick.

My view is don't sell!

you might have spent £1k in the last month but how much has you car depreciated in this time? if you were to get a new car you would have lost more just driving it away? even if you were to buy a nearly new car you aren't guaranteed it won't need some work..

I've not had to sink any money into mine yet other than a respray and wheel refurb + suspension refresh and ditching the RFTs: i've convinced myself that they were investments and part of the ruling costs :?

I also have some wandering/irritating steering twitching but it seems to be limited to travelling at ~65mph on dual carriage ways, it disappears under power so the remedy is very simple if i get frustrated with it :D

I've never had such a fun car as the Z: currently trying to convince myself that an ESS SC bolt on to the N52 is a good idea :headbang:

M

edit: I only bought the Z as an itch that needed scratching while i waited for the Golf R to be delivered (8 months) - the Z will be staying and it's the golf that will be moving on - i think i'd only sell it to get an M

Sounds like I am being greedy then - I needed a practical car to go with the Z4, so I bought a 325ti!

And I agree, it is great.
