ZM custom backboxes + tips BCS Powervalve Now Fitted

Simple really (...after 30 years) gas under pressure will always take the path of least resistance - we just have to control at which point the transition takes place with carefully controlled baffle and bypass tube configurations.
As you can imagine what we do is quite different to the norm so we can't divulge too much over the net as plagiarism is rife in this industry... :thumbsup:

Nige - can you tell me how loud cold start is roughly? (It's always heard to tell on video) That's the main reason I've taken my stromungs off - the cold start in the garage wakes up the entire town! Those teaser pics look good.

I understand your concern.

I did a bit with JP Exhausts in Macc years ago,so was just interested in design..

Good point
Cold start is understandably louder running 'choke', itseems to be two stage, dropping down to 1200 and then down to normal tick over.
Will check db's and show results along with sound variance :thumbsup:

only just seen this! had my BCS Powervalve system fitted for about 18 months now and its fantastic! ive had great service from day one and the car sounds epic!

The tips could easily have been bigger & i would assume anyone ordering the boxes could choose the tips they preferred ? I was keen to stay as close to a factory look as possible & couldn't be happier with the pics shown
On my 2nd visit we offered up alternative sizes into the bumper openings & the bigger ones made me think of MaxPower magazines i read 20 years ago :oops: not for me i'm afraid

For direct comparison to the original tips you can see the new ones are a good bit bigger

Not 100% sure they will have them on a shelf ready to collect but my assumption would be now they have the correct dimensions & templates they can produce a pair with your chosen tips in a relatively short time :?
What are your thoughts on the tip size Pete ?
Too big ?
Too small
or good to go ?
 
really considering these to drop some noise.... the rpi got old along time ago for me, ready to get a more civilised sound. They look beautifully made too. definitely interested!
 
Is it possible that the boxes sit a touch higher so that the tips fit in the recess slightly more? I'd prefer if possible for the gap between the tips and the bumper recess is the same as standard - I am massively OCD though....

Other than that they look great, can't wait for the sound clip!
