ZM custom backboxes + tips BCS Powervalve Now Fitted

I just soiled my trousers

Test driver had some fun

Very interested in what the 'prestige' version sounds like in comparison, and both vs stock.

Just wondering how it would sound with my GruppeM

If it's anywhere near the noise of an RPI exhaust then based on what I heard on the Wales hoon it will drown out your Gruppe M. If it's quieter then could be awesome surround sound enhancing...

So, what is the price of this then - £688 fitted to forum members, or less ? And if they are just bought and shipped, what is the price ?

Sooooooo , 40 miles m way home & 25 miles over Pendle & back on my hoon route with roof down . These boxes have really made the M come alive , the sound recording is good but can't capture what its like to go through the gears at different speeds over different terrain , there is no drone whatsoever but obviously they create noise to the ear that wasn't there before so that takes some getting used to .
Any burble & pops that you have to listen hard for on OEM boxes are multiplied 10 X on these boxes & the howl at 4/5/6k revs really grabs the attention .
Also the use of the Sport button changes the depth of tone considerably , all the sound clip shhown was button off , stood on the drive blipping the throttle with it on & it gives a rasp, snort & pop that is hard not to love (unless you live next door )
Will keep updated as i cover more miles but Nige has given me the offer of returning in a few weeks to try a set of the Prestige boxes so i will take him up on his offer ,
Whichever ones suited your requirements i really doubt anyone will be disappointed

Wondering if it too much for a daily drive and visiting customers??

Depends if you want to roll up in a Z4 but sounds like you've arrived in a Ferrari 355
The noise is pertty damm close https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvAC6vaJHxU
My initial thoughts are that the sport set up will suit M coupes due to the obvious difference & if the "Prestige" boxes are a toned down version then they will be perfection for the roady owners

The coupe's boot area is connected to the cabin, and that open boxy space seems to allow aftermarket exhausts to resonate more and sound louder inside the car. It's definitely impressive if BCS managed to get that sound without any drone! Sounds louder than my stromungs though, I'll see what the prestige is like :)

This could be heading towards a open day/meet down at BCS with both boxes already set up & running so the actuals can be heard ?
Would obviously need another enthusiastic owner involved beforehand ?

Cheers Andy, how are they fitted to your midsection? Clamped?

And did they have to saw off your old back boxes?

I thought these were dual purpose exhausts, quite on light throttle loud on full. Seems as if they are always loud? Just going by the video which probably doesn't give me the full picture. I would purchase these if they were stock sound when cruising and loud when you hit the throttle.

No Dan , the old boxes retain their original slip flange/bolt fitment & the new ones have custom made ones attached .
So a simple bolt on - bolt off set up
