Don't let it put you off. 99% of people are still honest and decent. Too many people are being frightened off from selling their cars privately due to perceived 'threats'. That then costs everyone, except the car trade, lots of money.Abbas said:

Even though I no longer have a Zed in the garage, this probably isn’t the last you’ll see of me—and who knows, there’s a decent chance I’ll have another one in the future. (Maybe not the full-fat M next time, though :? ).

Even though I no longer have a Zed in the garage, this probably isn’t the last you’ll see of me—and who knows, there’s a decent chance I’ll have another one in the future. (Maybe not the full-fat M next time, though :? ).

Is it the ///M in general you don't like or was it the specific car - have you owned any of the other Z4 variants?Abbas said:The car is sold

It’s not that I didn’t like it, but I realised the 3.0si is probably more than enough for me given my limited skillset and what I’m comfortable doing on public roads. It’s often said the 3.0si offers about 80% of what an M does, and for my level of driving ability, that 80% is plenty. I never quite had the confidence—or the nerve—to fully exploit the M, but that’s just me. I’m still very much a beginner when it comes to driving hard.
On a more subjective note, I found the ludicrous sound of the 3.0si with the foam removed absolutely intoxicating—so much so that I actually preferred it over the aftermarket intake on the Z4M.
That said, a sports car just doesn’t suit my needs at the moment, so sadly, it had to go.
I’ve owned four E85 Z4s now—a couple of 3.0si’s, a 2.0, and now an M. Who knows, maybe there will be a fifth one day
