Z4M Roadster – Black - Low Mileage £12500

Crazy sub 50k M not shifting at 14k.

In summer as well! Been a lot less demand than I thought, but I suppose it just takes one person to be seriously interested and I'm confident the first to see will buy

Just doesn't give the market much confidence if these rare lower milers aren't pulling close. Not long ago 14k would get you a 65-80k car.

It definitely seems a little stagnant at the moment. Mines on the lower end in terms of mileage, and going off AutoTrader etc about 15-16k is very fair price, however the examples I'm basing that estimate off don't seem to be shifting. They've been on sale for around 6 months when I first started looking for one myself, so something has to give.

I remember a couple of years ago when I was having a look at one, a 50k M was around 17-18k. 12-13kish which was my budget at the time got you a bit of a tatty one.

I'm surprised this hasn't sold too. It looked like a great example when I saw it a few months ago and a few tasty additions have been added since then. It really does show how the market has shifted in recent times. It does just take one buyer so hang on in there. The benefit is that you get to enjoy it whilst waiting for them to come along 🙂

There's certainly worse cars to be stuck with :D Thank you

Update: It's now £13750 elsewhere so forum price of £13500

Don't think I'm officially going to drop it any further than that for the foreseeable as it slots in nicely into the current market And this also includes a GruppeM airbox etc aswell whereas others are either higher mileage and/or stock. I'm going to just leave this here for now and enjoy the car, and if anyone is interested they know where I am. I'm open to offers in the region and answering any questions as always.

Probably the cleanest car I've ever owned, and will be the first one I've made a loss on

Cheers!

Bump. Happy Sunday!

I have decided to take the car back to stock as I’ll probably make more money that way and I think most people prefer to buy these cars stock. So the eibach springs, GruppeM airbox and splitter will be for sale soon. I’ll just drive it around stock till it sells. Might be better for my back too :) I

Before it goes back to stock in a week or two…if anyone wants to make an offer for the car as is, now’s your chance

Thanks
Abbas

ey up

The car is now back to OEM intake and no splitter. Only Eibach springs remain and Storm Motorways gearknob(lovely) as far as mods. The car is now yours for £13,000. Haven't took photos yet but will do soon.

Also had a fresh MOT put on it till Sep 2025. Passed with zero issues as expected.

If anybody is interested in the GruppeM or Splitter just let me know. I'll get round to making posts about it on here soon.

Hi mate. Nice looking M.

Any ideas why the mileage dropped by 5k in 2019?

That’s a good question! Hadn’t noticed till you said. I’ll double check the paperwork to see if I can see anything but at a guess I’d say an error has been made somewhere there. With either 2018 or 2019 being an error as the mileage jumps up alot more than usual from 2017 to 2018 but that could just be a driver enjoying themself

Can you publish the rest of the rest of the service history, then this may make sense?

Attaching photos on my phone of the service book. These are also on the auto trader and Facebook ad. All paperwork and bills I have just correlate with the service stamps and mileage on the dashboard to be honest, and obviously it wasn’t serviced in 2019 to compare against the mileage discrepancy in 2019. I don’t have any receipts from 2019 that state the mileage, I had a good look through.

Not sure what else I can do on my end

I'd be going back to the dealer in regards ro the 5k mileage discrepancy...

Yeah I will be ringing them up. Was looking into it today. 2018 and 2019 are mot tests at the same garage, and 2019 is the wonky mileage number. Best guess is, it’s an error on the garages part. Very frustrating as it affects potential sales for me down the line. In touch with dvla at the moment, and not had much luck with the garage today but will try again.

I’ve not very optimistic dvla will do anything as I only have mot certificate from 2019 with the wrong mileage on. Any additional paperwork from 2019 conveniently doesn’t state the correct mileage

I’m going to have to sell it as parts at this rate

Years ago I had a couple of issues with MOTs being dated from the date of the test rather than the date of expiry of the previous test, and got both corrected by the DVLA who e-mailed me revised certificates with the right dates.

Anyway you could try contacting them at [email protected]

If this has come up as part of an HPI check contact HPI.

I had this on another car and it was because of a private plate transfer. The car the plate was transferred to was MOT’d and for some reason this showed up on the previous cars history. HPI were able to correct it with DVLA.

Clocking seems the least likely explanation for this discrepancy

Thank you, I'll look into that too. It does come up as a mileage discrepancy on HPI I believe.

Thanks Mr Tidy! it looks like VOSA is now DVLA, so hopefully I'm on the right track, I've emailed them a form

The discrepancy is likely an innocent mistake, it happens more than it should. Hopefully you get it sorted

I’ve been looking into it abit more this past week, in short I’m not very hopeful it’ll get rectified. It is most likely an honest mistake, as the same garage did the mot in 2018 and 2019, the year that it dipped so I have no reason to believe the owner took it to a “friendly” garage and had it clocked. I rang the garage and they kind of admitted error but said they can’t change it which is great.

I probably should have done this sooner but I rang the dealership to say not being made aware of this before purchase is a breach of the consumer right acts etc. they said to email the details, and they’ll have a look. I’ve done that. And will chase up in a few days. I am asking them to rectify it (unlikely) or buy the car back off me.

Any advice on what to say or do if they’re not too keen on that idea and the call goes abit south?

The MOT could be a mistake. It's going to be hard to argue if there is no proof.

Looking at this advert and when you bought the car you describe the car as having a full service history.

Did the garage describe the car as having a full service history? I think you might have better grounds at returning the car if they did over the MOT discrepancy.

The service history would put me off more than the MOT discrepancy.

1)Notes added to the top of the service book to highlight a service had been missed out the book years before.

2)A service entry has been left empty followed by an undated and unsigned service.

3) A service accidentally added for the wrong car and crossed out.

To have three strange entries in a service history book is rather odd.

4 years between services is far too long. That is not a full service history.
