Aye good luck Craig! It's not too late to back out :wink:

Hope the volcano doesn't f**k around with your flights. We were lucky to get to Turkey and back for a week's holiday recently (flew back in on Tuesday morning just before the airspace at Glasgow was closed!), so fingers crossed for you.

I'm going to try and sort out our hol plans for July this week - still unsure if we're going north or south yet, but if it's south then we'll detour into the Lakes and join in with the meet :)

Well you will have to organise one yourself - and pick a day you can make - must be loads of good roads around Saddleworth :D
 
Craig - hope you get away and have a great honeymoon.

My neighbour left at 4.30 this morning to fly B'ham to Madeira. Made it to Spain somewhere. Sat in the terminal 2 hours as Madeira airspace was closed diue to the volcano. Spanish refused to allow them to stay, so same plane brough them back tonight.

Made a not so nice 20 hours day trip to Spain :thumbsdown:
 
Hi guys,

I haven't been keeping up-to-date with this thread and now I'm too lazy to trail through all the pages. Anyone fancy giving me a summary please? There could be some brownie points in it for you... :D
 
Meet taking place over the three days, Saturday drive through the lakes possibly splitting into 2 or 3 groups, Sunday drive through the dales, some people are camping and some staying in Crooklands hotel and some turning up on the days. if you book either the campsite or hotel then PM Craig or Sammyz and let them know what you are doing.

EDIT......And bring a Z4 or 3 :thumbsup:

Doubt it - SammyZ was still recruiting at the meet yesterday. Seems hotel and campsite still available, and plenty others joining in for day trips. Hope to see you there :D (as I was yesterday :poke: !)
 
LOL! Well just confirming I have no other commitments, and then I'll be ready to book up any hotel(s) that are needed. If it's not too late though, I'll read through this thread in a bit more detail and get organised!

Any idea on start points for Sat? May have to consider getting a hotel on the Fri night as don't want to drive up from London to the Lakes first thing Sat morning!
 
I think I'm going to be missing this :(

My holiday plans just don't match up - we're actually going to be in the Lakes from the Mon onwards, but commitments at home mean we won't actually be heading down until Sun evening. Oh well, I'd only be grumpy and pissed off driving my camper van anyway while you lot are hooning around in your Z4s...

spooky - that exactly my problem. holiday starts on the monday in of all places - Kendal!

Too late in the day to sort anything else out plus I would only slow everyone up with all the luggage in the boot!
 
Yeah, I'd only be slowing people down by bringing everything (literally including the kitchen sink) with me too. Looking forward to a bit of MTBing in the Lakes instead though :)
