Hi all,

Please can you put me down for this? I'll be arriving Friday afternoon, camping on Friday and Sat.

Regards,

Rick.

Look forward to seeing an Olive Green zed in the flesh :)

Looking forward to combining my 4 hobbies, cars, drinking, eating and camping :D

P.S. Who/how do I pay for camping? Going away in the morning for the week so would like to sort today if poss?

Ive booked the monday off work this time... I was absolutely nackered last year after all the driving and hardly any sleep..

I would suggest people do the same.. Also makes a nice day for cleaning all the dead flies and brake dust that will be baked onto the car from a weekend of hooning :D

This is a VERY good idea. As I will now not be going to Le Mans as planned for the first time this year  I'll swap some leave around.

Mrs Bing is now very sold on this and looking forward to not talking cars with the girls :D , though it has taken the promise of an executive double hotel room and a meal at a Michelin Star restaurant to seal the deal

i'm thinking that numbers are getting unmanageable for a one group drive so we may need to reduce numbers. Several ideas:-

1. Ban coupes, not proper Z4s anyway. :)
2. Ban people with silly loud exhausts. :o hang on that's me...
3. Ban E89s. hang on hardly any ever turn up :(
4. Split into two groups.

OK I'll go with option 4! So I'm looking for anyone who would be prepared to lead a group ( if needed) Saturday for Lakes run and Sunday for Dales run. We can split into 'steady pace' and 'very steady pace' (Non Siftah field driving) groups. I'll lead either group quite happilly. Any volunteers p.m. me and we'll discuss routes and ideas. :D

cheers

John - I'm happy to volunteer as either leader or tail gunner - better to have two groups. Kids on board so second group fine by me, as I don't have an M I won't need to stop mid route to refill :p and we'll pass you whilst youre at the pumps.

Good idea,John...but its always better when u lead.

Its probably best if a few of us regulars,or whoever wants to/knows the area well enough take turns as leader(s) or tail-gunners,if you are wanting a rest from time to time,John?
I am happy taking the lead or tail-end marker if/when needed...just wont be able to reccy the routes though,so we may get lost
Tony nominated already
(just dont go off-roading if behind me,Tony, lol  )

We have managed on the meets ok with around 20-25 ish cars, each day;but if we end up with much more,then,Yes..definately split into 2 groups, mate.
Will be interseting if all 32-plus cars turn up on one day..as we always seem to have a few ppl not show. :headbang:

Speak soon,John.

At Present, all 12 (provisionally) booked spaces at the W/edge Campsite are FULL,i am afraid....but will let everyone know if that changes.(I will be sending a chq.in the post for the Deposits 2mrw.)

Last year i had reserved 14 spaces, between 2 campsites(across rd from each other),and only a total of 8 of those were used...which isnt very nice for the Campsites/having kept spaces free for us.
So this year i booked 12,and took Deposits for them all...but if there are any last minute cancellations,i will update.

If you are wanting to book a Campsite, book a space at the Little Acres, which is across the road from where the W/edge is,and if space is avlbl/or we can squeeze 1 or 2 more in at W/Edge,then u can always cancel your own booking neare the time.
The reason for this was as mentioned above, was the amount of "confirmed camping" last year, and then having 6 no-shows :headbang:

Hope this helps, and look forward to seeing u all at the meet :D :driving:

Neither will I, and nor will Mrs Bing, so don't worry about it

Mrs Bing has rated exciting driving over scenery by the way, if we end up splitting groups

Don't worry....it was my first time last year. Really nice bunch of guys. The campsite is really nice and we'll be pitched right near the bar. A few of us went for a meal and some beers at the Crooklands on the Friday night and I'll be doing the same this year. A BBQ on the Sat night and pub grub at lunchtimes on the Sat/Sun.
Trust me you'll have a great time.
