Are tag along cars allowed? Could my mate meet us there is his 1 series? Would save me picking him up!

It's to bring along the spare tyres, like the Tour De France.

I'd have thought meeting there was fine but in previous years not on the drives - it is the National Z4 event after all - spoils the pictures too! ( I voted to allow pals along but got out voted - Craig's gig so Craig's rules)

Er that's pants, but rules are rules I guess. :|

But meeting there is ok? He wouldn't be taking his hatchback on the drive, unlike our E86 friends

But what if your mate happened to be driving on exactly the same road going to exactly the same place we were? Hmmm :?

I'd be pretty disappointed if the forum National Meet turned into a free for all where it's fine for everyone's mate to bring their non-Z4 car along on the drives. Just my opinion and it's not a disaster either way...

Z4 meet, means Z4's only in my eyes

I don't feel guilty or rude in saying this as there are plenty other forums and meets for other BMW cars and their respective owners

If I was a bit more straight talking, my post would have come out like this one.

+1

As it is we may be splitting into two groups due to numbers.

Def IMHO the drive sections of the meet are for Z4's only. Been a members of many clubs and meets and there's a standard etiquette around such things.

Try taking a Jeep to a Landrover event and see what happens :fuelfire:

Absolutely, I intend to abide by the rules. I'll make sure I bring a pitchfork and a straw hat :? Although it'll have to be telescopic to fit in the boot of the almighty z.

Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but it's all I could find at short notice http://www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk/gifts/telescopic-extendable-fork.html

:D

Completely agree on the drive sections, my questions for was meeting at the campsite :P

Nev mind, I'll pick my mate up en route, and avoid bringing another car to a crowded campsite

Actually there's no real problem with cars in the campsite as they have a parking area at the gate about 25m from where we pitch the tents.

Last year they asked most of us to park there so we could have more tent spaces.

Hi. I'm new to this forum and was on my initial brows about when spotted this thread. I'v been planning a holiday up to the Lake district and as it happens it would be the first week of July. No booking made yet but this looks like we could maybe meet a few Z4 owners up there if it happens....... :driving:

Sorry,mate...strictly z4's only,doesnt matter if its a Roadster,Tintop or an E89...AS LONG AS ITS A Z4 (or else we would end up with @ 24 Z4s and another 24 non-Z4s,which spoils the idea of a "Z4 meet".
Look forward to seeing u there tho  :driving:

Adam, there is NO PROBLEM whatsoever with your mate in his 1ser. meeting u at the Campsite/Hotel carpark,as it would save u a big detour/round-trip.
As CJ said, there is a carpark at the site, and an even bigger Carpark at the CROOKLANDS HOTEL UR MATE CAN USE

ON THE DRIVES THOUGH ITS Z4s ONLY :D :driving:
