Seriously? 73 photos.

Talk about over doing it.
Just been looking at Aston Martins ( yes might be upgrading) and the add showed 92 photos and not one under the bonnet or close up of the wheels

Wow, that’s a beautiful car but a lot of money. Interestly Autotrader rated it as a “fair” price.

The autotrader pricing system is completely pointless from what I can see. For one, it doesn't seem to take into account desirable options (e.g. colour, trim etc), and is instead heavily biased to year and mileage.

This pointless, because if you are buying a car that is c. 13 years old you buy on condition, not on milage. A coupe with 65,000 miles that has a Kwik-Fit service history and hasn't had any preventative maintenance done on it vs one at 100,000 miles that has a complete main dealer/indy service history with springs, ABS, water pump etc sorted are two completely different propositions.

One owner and an 09 plate aside it’s still expensive. If it was a better spec I could maybe see £12k maybe £12.5k As it stands £10k ish seems fair, generic low spec interior lets it down imo

Edit: wait, it’s now listed as ‘4’ owners not ‘1’ 😬

Truly deluded seller there
anyone considering buying that car for that money really shouldn't be allowed unsupervised internet access

£15.5 K is just madness! But as he is moving abroad I'm sure you could give him a good kicking on price as his departure gets closer.

While it was a 56 plate on 76K, my MC was advertised for less last December. :D

It must be one of the last off the production line. Even if it is in mint condition, mileage is probably too high for a “collector” willing to pay a premium. Well looked after 55k mid-spec examples seem to go for £10-11k.

That seems a bargain

It was, but it didin't get advertised until 15 December and had to be sold before Xmas! And it was due an Inspection 2 which it has now had, as well as new bearing shells.

Ooo-err, I’m in for an Inspection 2 tomorrow.

I wouldn't worry unduly - it's only expensive on an M as valve clearances need checking and adjustment with shims as they don't have hydraulic lifters. Plus I needed a new cam-chain tensioner and rear trailing arm bushes as well. :(

Noob Z4 owner here.
But having looked at the advert and notice it is described as mint condition, and yet checking out latest mot means it will require two new front tyres very soon, not to mention a set of rear pads. Seems ambitious, but as they become rarer good examples will attract a higher price, just because good examples are hard too find.

Plenty of people see their cars as 'mint' and 'loved' , but easy to read between the lines , as many posters above can verify !

Look on this forum. People love their z4s. I reckon there are many more good examples than bad examples out there. And particularly for coupes, although there aren’t many about, numbers aren’t coming down fast. I’d be amazed if anyone in their right mind pays anywhere near the asking price for that car.

Loads not to like about this one, but it is Alpine White!
