Which trolley jacks do you all own, I just bought the one on offer at half orts reduced form 80 to 40,

Wend to change the discs and pads and the jack wouldn't go under the car! Had to use the scissor one out my other car!

The car is 125mm but I can't find any jacks thus low??

I just use two scafold boards on top of each other, (so 4 in total)

and just drive the back wheels up onto that, then you can get the jack under all the points easy peasy

I also do as sam1832 says, drive up onto 2 pieces of wood first to give the extra inch or so needed for the jack.

its cheaper than spending more money on anouther jack lol

also if you wanted you could buy those yellow palstic ramps they use for leveling out camper vans, just to run up onto to give you the extra gap needed

I bought a low profile one a few months back. Very nice jack for the money and am well impressed, best of all it's available at the sale price.

Machine Mart do some light weight alloy one`s for sport`s/race cars, i have one but they are bit on the pricey side, goes down to 90mm at it`s lowest point.

As a few have said, just a bit of wood under the wheels to give me that extra clearance and never had a problem by the way the jack i use is the Lidl one £14.99.

Similar to KarlosG I use this one

http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/ctj1250a-11-4-tonne-aluminium-trolley-jack?da=1&TC=SRC-trolley+jack

Pole stays in the unit for ease of use and got 25% off a couple of months ago so, for me, worth while.

I drive the car onto wooden blocks then jack it up. Saves buying another jack?

Been thinking of getting a low profile trolly jack for a while now and this one looks just the ticket. Thanks for the recommend Swiftly

On the subject of jacking, I take it that plastic block is for the jacking point? I noticed behind it was an exposed section under the car, where do you guys put the jack?

There are four jacking points, two each side between the front and rear wheels. Dead obvious if you take a look. They have a rubber insert in, and are designed to take an adapter that goes between the jack and the jack point. Some discussion in another thread as to their value. I bought one as I didn't want to risk the car slipping

Edit - this is correct for non M cars. M cars have a different arrangement
