N52B25 (2.5si). To be fair, after I put the fuel treatment in the tank, I reset the mpg counter and went for a long-ish drive which did not involve too much low gear work so I dare say the figures will come down a bit once I get back to doing the daily commute to work. I was still pleasantly surprised though. What engine do you have? Never managed above 34mpg on a 3.0si
Just looked at this again it all looks very nice, but please cut that cable tie as it's making my teeth itch!!Fitted my new @Jollygiant carbon air intake & scoop today

Applying some UV headlight sealer will help keep them fresh. Or some UV proof PPF/headlight film.Used Cerakote Headlamp restoration kit and really happy with the results.
Took about 45 mins in total and a lot better than the holts I had applied previously.
Will report back on longevity.

That was before I had finished, worry not it's cut back now!Just looked at this again it all looks very nice, but please cut that cable tie as it's making my teeth itch!!![]()
Been down to see @enuff_zed today for another oil change, plus new seats and door cards (finally got sports seats, yay!), and replacing a particularly stubborn camber bolt.View attachment 297000View attachment 297001
Had them a long time. Think they were Sealey? I run the front wheels onto a couple of bits of scaffold board first so the front bumper clears the slope of the rampWhere are those ramps from, and does the z4 go straight on without issue? @enuff_zed
If you ever managed over 40mpg you just aren't trying hard enough!N52B25 (2.5si). when you clean the roof add milton sterilising fluid to the process to destroy the algae and don't forget to half drop the roof and get under the back rubber seal as that can be the source of the regrowth with the trapped siltHad my aircon regassed today. It wasn't dead but it is definitely better now. I'm taking the zed down to Ile de Re, in France, next week and I'm thinking that good aircon may be important. However, I'm hoping to have the lid down for most of the trip. I would love to feel the wind in my hair.....if I had any!
I was thinking of colouring the black soft top since, although I have cleaned it, there is still has some evidence of algal growth. Anyone got experience of using roof dye?
Did Simon Liggins do it? He asked me for a loom with the hall sensors on yesterday, but I'm all out.Had the roof motor relocated. Discovered that the bottom sensor that sensed the roof closed was bodged with mastic… probably when the motor was changed. Thanks previous owner…
No need to find some sensors to rewire it
I’ve got an old roof and loom that will have them if you need. Drop me a line if you’re looking.
Yes, I thought Simon was on it.
