What have you done to your car today?

should look well with the new diffuser!

More info on the diffuser please Dave .

It’s a high quality remake of the original BMW carbon part for the non M Z4s. Available via Buckhart engineering and made by Carbon Productions. Not cheap but really makes the back end of the car.

I have been looking out for an original but have never seen one for sale . This looks just the job but as you say not cheap works out about 675 pounds delivered from Burkhart . Mind you an original would probably be that price . Looks easy to fit did you have any problems ?

Cleaned out my passenger roof drain, it was filling with water. Couldn’t get anything up it so had a gentle poke from the top and the water run out. Only water though, bit odd. Then cleaned off the left over glue from the old weights when I had my back tyres changed a couple of days ago.

Made my boot leak worse 🙄
And fitted 2 additional speakers in the doors.
I found that I don’t have speakers in the doors, just blanked off speaker grills  although I don’t listen to the radio so just as well really. BMW are such bloody cheap skates.

Same here...i think unless you have the 10 apeaker system then your doors are blanks.
So I bought a couple of used speakers off ebay and wired them off the tweeter...makes quite a difference

No it was easy enough to fit - perhaps a bit fiddly getting a few of the bolts in given tight access but works well.

I second that experience, having installed mine and 4 others for fellow Zed owners. Do note that you will need to cut the bumper to install this.

Its all coming back to me now Barty . I had forgotten you have fitted the same diffuser

After replacing both calipers and pads/discs just had the bleed the air from the system which I did this morning. All working great now ready to go back on the road in March :driving:

Got up this morning with the intention of booking the MOT for wifey's E85. Looked out the window and the RH headlight is full of condensation.
Wasn't like that two days ago when I fitted the new wheels! Not been disturbed either.
So this morning it was bumper off, lights out and they are currently sitting under the radiator while I repair a couple of the mounting clips and fit new access panel seals.
MOT next week now then. :headbang:

Snap! Lovely day for it 😮‍💨 that’s me managed to snap both plastic brackets in the upper corners of the bumper after today 💫

This is the exact reason why I am scared of taking mine off.
I want to, but just know its going to go wrong.......

I think a warmer day helps.
I get my hand in at the rear edge and pull it gently out. Usually find the front end of the clip is the tightest, but a steady pull, with a small thin trim tool eased in to the gap seems to work ok.

Ignorance is bliss!!

I had no idea these brackets were a potential problem, or how expensive they are. So I pulled the bumper and refitted it without too many concerns. Thankfully I didn't break anything!!
