What have you done to your car today?

I finally fixed my drivers side door problem where I'd have to pull the door handle hard to open my door every time. It would get so much worse in the summer too. I've had this problem for years lol.

Turns out the cable stretches over time. I just added a metal washer to the cable to artificially shorten the length, so now it pops open super easy. I hope it lasts because it costs me nothing for this DIY fix!

Just started reading this topic little bit almost every day and after 3weeks finally get readed last page  First thanks for all photos/writings here, many awesome ideas/parts/tips are founded here :)

Just buy my first zed about month ago. Finded 3.0si Coupe black (LHD, manual) with about 100k (60k miles) ODO. Car was quite original shape, only bigger mod is changed coilover kit (HR monotube coilover kit). Now just waiting winter go away and spring come back :)

Things what get done this first month:
- All oils motor, transmission, rear diff (Redline)
- Drain and change new coolant fluids (G48)
- New spark plugs (OE Bosch)
- Open all brakes, clean and lubricate brake "quiding bolts".
- Paint all brake calibers to red.
- Clean engine bay.
- Change all interior bulbs to leds.
- Order new plastic "plug" center console (photo)
- Change new Zhp shorter gear knob, seems awesome update.
- Started wrapping interior door handles and steering wheels trims with brushed aluminium -look wrap.
- Added additional fuse to fuse box, get power to Samsung usb charger, what use BK Bluetooth handsfree/music stream box and give other power to fast charge phone. Both now starts when IGN -power is on and shutdown when take keys off.
- Buyed used Style 32 wheels and take them to sandplast and powler painted.

- Cup holders and retrofit them :)
- Polished exhaust tips and finish them Metal Polish.

I'm planning on investigating what’s going on with my exhaust tomorrow. On the face of things it looks standard with some aftermarket tips screwed over the originals, but by god it’s loud. Burbling and popping on overrun with an insanely loud drone on long runs at 60+ that’s driving me a bit mad.

Part of me quite enjoys it at times but I’m turning 40 this year 😂

Drove it to work, much to the enjoyment of a Mustang-driving colleague who came over to compliment the straight six soundtrack :driving:

In other news: I really need to dry out that headlight and replace the service hatch… it looks so incredibly poorly

Over the last two days I wrapped the center console brushed aluminum trim piece to a brushed black and finished changing other trim from grey to black.

Well worth the effort

Cleaned out the windscreen washer jets, had previously cleaned the reservoir and pump filter but jets got clogged again. Took them out and poked them with fuse wire and blew them out with the airline. Blew the lines out on the run back to the reservoir as well. Once refitted they were spraying very well so hopefully they will stay clear now.

Dried out the foam underneath my carpet today, pulled out just under a litre in 4 hours, fixed the leak in the summer but the foam underneath was still wet months later but the carpet dry, keep getting condensation on the windscreen in that area so hopefully this is the source of it.

That looks great, what wrap material did you use?
