What have you done to your car today?

Fitted my Apex ARC 8s that I purchased from TomK last week, look fantastic and could be placebo but ride quility seems much better, not sure if its the slightly higher side wall on the Michelins or just the reduction in unsprung weight over the Style 203s that were on before.

Would love to see more images of these if possible?

I'll get some over the weekend

MOT pass for son’s Z4. Advisory for low rear tyres, which I felt was a bit harsh (2.5mm), but happy to blame this on former owner [ref]raymond.harper[/ref]

Cleaned the underside of the car ready to try that lanoguard stuff. Put the original alloys back on again too for a change! Still waiting for my aero skirts to come back from the paint shop - should look well with the new diffuser!

Thanks, fixed some of the heat shields as well. Starting to look a lot less shocking underneath

Some much needed detailing today.

I do like a touring . Had a E91 for 14 years and it was a great all rounder . I think the E85 looks really nice with the hardtop . Nice job

Not all today, but I whipped the exhaust manifold off as I had a crack in it which needed welding up. I also needed to replace the tyres on the rear, which I managed to man maths into a full set of AD09s and a refurb of the alloys

It's now all back together and patiently waiting for springtime when I'll get it taxed - can't frickin wait!

(also yes I know the garage floor desperately needs a proper coat of something - it's on the very long 'House to do' list!

Me too. They're very hard to beat. I've had a few myself..E36 328i Sport Touring, an E91 also, 3 different E39 5er Touring and this F11 520d M-Sport. It's a foot longer than the Disco 4 I had previously...it's cavernous inside. So practical. And looks great 8) E85 hardtops seem a very Marmite topic on here but I think they look great. Wouldn't be without mine...love it !

Looks brilliant.

And effort vs reward? I’d probably skip the floor and add curtains further up the priority list!

 nothing wrong with Thomas the Tank Engine curtains, my little one loves it so they kinda have to stay!

I'm really chuffed, the pictures don't quite do it justice, I think it works really well with carbon black.

Yeah really enjoying being half oop narth  less than an hour from Donny now which is good, and the countryside and walking etc is lovely. Really pleased to have made the move!

Hour and 40 mins for me to Donny. I have gradually worked my way further north over the years . Originally from Surrey/ South London . Certainly get more for your money if you pick the right area

Certainly do, and my current job doesn't need me to be on the office more than a couple of days a month - I can make that work for the benefits of being in proper countryside in the Peaks Park!

It's good to see you are enjoying your new location Ed - and I think those curtains in your garage look great!
