Has now gone from having a broken Diff, broken roof, shot rear brakes…
…to being a functioning daily driver, with a working roof (thanks Alan) and an advisory free MOT pass this morning.
Happy days & happy Mrs
Have you considered that his Mrs may not want her photo taken?Zedebee said::worthless:True-Blue said:Partner’s car, project shoestring..

Not looking too shabby for a shoestring. Well done![]()

Very pleased with the result.

I’m going to give it a full machine polish & correction, but mainly focused on getting it mechanically sorted so far![]()

i bought a cheap polisher off aldi but people are saying it spins too fast and to only use it on speed 1 otherwise friction will burn the paint. i now plan on just using it for waxing the car after a clay bar. i think clay is enough to sort out the minor issue of stuff stuck to the car. the paint i'm not overly bothered about. i may invest in a proper DA polisher in future but it's probably better off just spending the few quid extra and getting it professionally done. polishers aren't cheap the decent ones and you normally need 2 of them as well to do the smaller parts.

Tango22 said:Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, what did the handbrake repair cost you? My handbrake works fine most of the time but a lot of the time I need to give it a good wrench upwards a bit as it starts slowly creeping/moving on hills.
