I'll keep you in mindwon't be for a while as I still need to use it for a few weeks until the wife gives up work for the foreseeable, so I can then use her car to commute.
I am gutted, but also feeling satisfied that the car has given me nearly 8 years and 70k miles of reasonable motoringin that time I would've spent around 20k on a new car through my work scheme. Saved myself a good amount in money and had fun in it over the years too.

It needs a clutch, so that means a clutch, flywheel and rear main seal replacement. Exhaust is blowing on the join between manifold and centre section. Needs a service, passenger side headlamp washer pump is leaking. It all adds up to over £1500, so it just isn't worth paying the money as I won't get the use out of it in the future.

Just seems a shame to break her for what are basically serviceable parts.

I think you made the right choice by going for 12mm. Looking goodbaconJazz said:Fitted my Bimecc 12mm spacers today on the rear. I agonised about whether to go for 15mm or 12mm but I think I've made the right choice. They have given the subtle look I was after without screaming "Look at me , Iv'e got spacers on " .![]()

Mine had a crack in it from the day I bought it - I looked at it so many times and thought 'must replace that' then read the never ending threads of people replacing them and just left it. Sold it with the same crack in it 5 years later :lol:tug said:Found out my third brake light has broke up inside & stopped working AGAIN!!! :x
This will be my 4th new brake light in 6 years![]()
