What have you done to your car today?

MHD Flashed it  .
Well, only a Stage 1 as I'm waiting on a FMIC, but it still feels more 'torquey', and smoother when cold. Also checked the box for reducing cold start noise and that's definitely improved things  .

I haven’t driven any lanes since I installed it, but I don’t expect it to feel any different tbh. It just looks pretty and added 2 ///M logos to the plethora already on the car :D

Fitted the 230s I picked up from True Blue. Opted to fit 245 35 rears to maintain some degree of comfort and protect against cracked rims (hopefully...). Really pleased with the look and the initial drive showed the ride to be no worse than the 18s I've taken off.

That looks fantastic - but I would say that as my Montego Coupe has 295s on it (the 18" version of those wheels).

Gave it a long overdue wash

 In the night? I've done some crazy s**t when I couldn't sleep at night but never thought to wash the car. :P

Here in Summer when it's too hot I sometimes wash it at night and then find I missed a bit the next day

That's too hot all right :? I spent 20 years in the desert when I was young and resilient - Was so hot at night you burnt your arm sicking it out the window to rest on the car. ( Phoenix, AZ in August is hell on earth)

There was daylight when I started.

Filled up the washer fluid, because yet again, I have a leak from the headlamp washer. This time it's the passenger side.

Definitely going to break the car for parts. Can't be bothered with the unreliability anymore. It's fine for a weekender, but definitely not a daily driver that needs to get me to work and back without issue.

Off the top of my head, there's about £1500 alone just in parts, so thats about 50% of what I wanted back for the car anyway. Clutch/flywheel, service, exhaust repair, headlamp washer etc will cost £1500 too, so makes sense to break it.

Going to most likely order a fiesta/focus in 1.0 guise  needs must. Need rear seats and doors, aswell as something that won't let me down anymore.

I think at £1500 you may be under what you can return from breaking these cars.
Yes a lot of hassle advertising, stripping & posting but as "synthedup" showed very recently there is demand & the ££ soon adds up.
Your bespoke roof alone should see a decebt return?

Quite possibly. I forgot to add the bilstein b4 shocks and eibach springs also. It was just a ballpark figure that makes me care less about fixing everything  I put the price of the roof down as 300 quid, but could possibly get more. Cost me over a grand

It will be extremely sad to break it for parts, but I feel that's the best way to get a decent amount of money back. Selling it as is will probably only bank me 700 quid maximum.

I don't think the missus would appreciate a torn down motor on the driveway though

Nothing as I am at the National Track Cycling Championships as a spanner monkey/rider helper
