What have you done to your car today?

I purchased my car with a small dent right at the edge of the trunk lid that has bugged me ever since. I finally “solved” the problem by hiding it under this lip spoiler. It works for me!

I finally got around to sorting out the woeful speakers.

Fitted these to the footwells/replaced tweeters

Fitted these to the doors

https://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/car-speakers/pioneer-ts-g400-coaxial-speakers

What a difference! Dynamat equivalent in both doors too.

For about three hours the results are amazing really. Even the cheapo Pioneers work well.

Side view requested

Checked all the levels and pressures followed by a bit of New Year bathing and detailing. A very pleasant few hours outside in the winter sun and the peace and quiet  20191231_155805.jpg

Straight swap over? I've had this idea on the back burner for a while now but would still like to do something about the poor sound quality. My to do list just keeps getting longer.

I sat in mine in the garage for the first time in 3 months, pretended it was spring already and made engine noises

No longer a z4 owner but I still visit the forum most days and like to keep up to date on what’s happening. Busy couple
Of days playing with the z4s replacement though. Painted the callipers and gave her a good clean.

Finished a full decontamination, polish and wax. It took me 3 days.

Which brand paint did you go with? Wondering how close of a match that is to Guards Red... I have a set of 996 calipers that need some touch up before bolting onto the M...

Not far off, you’ll need to do some wiring for the door speakers from the tweeter unless you’ve got something there already. The footwell speakers needed the ring cutting off the old speaker to allow for mounting. You can get speaker rings of eBay though.

Well I taxed it and went for a drive to a local Classic Car meet, but most had left before I got there!

Still I had a good drive on some quiet A and B roads (went past Ross's new premises at one point) and was going to give it a clean but the local garage jet-washer was out of action. But I did get the driver seat memory programmed and tuned in the radio, as well as burning some super plus!

It's fair to say I'm loving it.

Weather was not too bad down south, a bit cloudy, better than the traffic on the 303 for sure. We turned off accross country. Currently sat in a hotel at the back of Silverstone. Off to Bletchley Park tommorrow. Always wanted to visit, finally got around to it. :D
