Good man worth every penny. Enjoy those perfect crisp winder days. 8) :driving:

Out across the moors again today. :driving: :D

Then spent an hour or so cleaning off all the grime of our long weekend away. :driving:

All tucked up again now.

[ref]Smartbear[/ref], it must be the '///M factor '
Thanks [ref]buzyg[/ref], i suddenly found myself smirking at all those who keep 'garage queens'. Then I remembered I was one of them! That and being jealous at seeing how other people enjoy their pride and joy over winter I though 'F🤭k it!! If i can get cold and rained on in the winter so can the Z!'. I'll be out tomorrow as soon as I get home!

It's definitely the M Factor - I paid the DVLA £570 on New Years Day! :o

But then I went for a drive and realised it was worth it!

Replaced the 9.5yrs old Salmon relays for the folding roof. Not very exciting, but hopefully one fewer (less?) thing to worry about....

Replaced yesterday the DISA (the big one) due to some rattling noises and loss of engine reactivity in some cases. Does not sound as a very precise diagnostic however I had a engine light on since 1 week and had a spare DISA just waiting to be installed, so I gave it a try.
Replacement cleared the fault! Car behaves much smoother since then. DISA valve removed was soaked with oil and had a lot of play in the flap mechanism so not a bad action at all!

Desktop programmed the smart top control. Hope to install this week along with new top relays for my 2010. Love me some preventative maintenance like timely replacement of inexpensive high failure relays. Thank you to the forum community

I landed in Birmingham, got home and took Zeddie out for the first time in 3 months. First stop: the Shell garage. Brimmed tank and tyre pressures checked. Under the forecout's lights i realised i put it away with about a million mosquitoes splattered all over it! Zeddie needs a shower 😂🤣

Hi, disa is vacuum operated & shouldn’t be soaked in oil, you’ve either got a badly worn engine (which I doubt) or a bunged up ccv system which is sending oily engine vapours back through the inlet manifold to choke up your disa/inlet valves etc :o

Fitted a tinted perspex wind deflector to my Z4, Christmas present to myself, got one on my Z3 already, couldn't justify the prices for oem deflectors for the Z4. Perspex one looks good and is fine for blocking the wind.
