Love that Ben. If I ever have to replace my roof fabric, it’s going to be as close to mola red as I can get it.

I wonder how it got cracked? Heavy handed when they did the gasket? I’d be asking quesions if I was you.enzed4 said:Dropped car off at garage this morning to investigate smoke/oil leak. I thought it could be related to the replacement rocker cover gasket they did a couple of months ago. They rung me a couple of hours later to say that the rocker cover is cracked, and it's around $900 to replace.

Funny, that's the first thing I thought of when they told me: Did they overtighten any bolts when replacing the rocker cover gasket? Cracked rocker/valve covers appear to be very common on N54's (I searched online just to check what the garage was saying) so I'm inclined to believe them as they have been fairly good to me thus far.simon1963 said:I wonder how it got cracked? I suppose it’s just something that you will just have to get done. Yes it seems it’s fairly common on the N52 and N54. Good luck hope it gets sorted.enzed4 said:Funny, that's the first thing I thought of when they told me: Did they overtighten any bolts when replacing the rocker cover gasket?
