What have you done to your car today?

Had the MC professionally detailed before it goes into storage. Very happy with the result.

Annoyingly, steam cleaning the steering wheel resulted in moisture around the horn wiring which stuck on with the ignition. Fixed now but managed to break the latch on the glove box getting to the fuse panel. Arses.

Go where?

Just curious as otherwise it seems illogical.

Started playing with my new Picoscope, and already discovered that the alternator appears to have a faulty diode.. New diode pack here in the morning for fitting. I must stop tinkering for the sake of it!

Just picked up the Z4 coupe after an oil leak rectification ( luckily only the oil filter seal - thought it was the infamous oil housing gasket) and an inspection ll at sopers. Engine bay was nicely stem cleaned( months of oil spray did not look good, interior and exterior washed and cleaned). In my scruffs I was treated very well. As an automotive engineer in prior times the experience was VG. Dealers prices but not as bad as I initially thought. Have come away with a renewed belief in main dealers. Thank you Sopers (sophie + team)

I spent yesterday evening splitting my spare set of 108M rims, then hand tapping each of the 80 M7 bolt holes before fitting sacrificial bolts into them to mask the holes during refurbishment. I also had a go at the worst of the kerb damage to the outer rims with two grades of sand paper as I'm sceptical how much time City Wheels are going to spend on them at only £20 per wheel!

The plan is to drop them off at City Wheels this afternoon for a non express refurb.

Was thinking of doing the same with my spare set using the same place.. any chance of some after pics and opinion?

No problem. Slight issue today as my meeting over ran and I was too late to get to City Wheels today so it looks like I might be taking another trip on Saturday.

Kept that quiet...

I hope you went all out and got the cooled stage 2?

PS: Sent you a PM and email about key cutting.

Apparently it's putting out about 360bhp..

Shame it's not actually my car...

Mike
If they came to you weren't you tempted to "send them to make a brew" and whip it out while they weren't looking! 😈😈😈

How come?

The snail is only really any quicker pretty high up the rev range compared to that larger displacement feeling all the way through of a screw. I like the whine of a screw but maybe you don't?

I like the compact fitment, and the look..

Noticed my rear brake lamp is broken in about three places. Despite saying I don't want a white one, I got a new white one on order. On reflection I think white looks more modern.
