Indeed Rob, it's an easy job well worth doing. What's not so easy is fishing a dropped screwdriver out from the undertray, ask me how I know..... :roll:
We've all been there... I use an extending telescopic magnet to get me out of trouble

Well being honest I did the alternator yesterday Mark. I'm ok doing things that don't involve too much moving about. I bought it from the place in Sheffield you told me about. I was going to PM you and say if you want to pop down to Baslow at some point I'll do yours if you haven't already sorted it.

Just repaired mine no o ring on mine either but looking at real oem there isn't one shown strange :| |

Weird. Was yours pinking Jabber? Mine was awful.
No mine had a problem caused by a split rubber boot on the throttle body causing intermittent cut outs overhauled the disa due to the mechanical noise it was making
Today I have finally managed to get NCS Expert running on my Windows 10 tablet. Rear brake and indicator LEDs fitted, coded and working with no warnings
Engine management light came on during the week, so bought an OBDII reader from amazon for £25. It arrived today so I plugged it in and it told me it was p0174 lean on bank 2.
Zapped out the code, put some fuel and cat cleaner in the tank and drove it for about half an hour and the light has stayed off. Might have been the supermarket fuel affecting one of the emission sensors, might be an air leak, if it stays off, then great!

Removed the horrible circular metal sat nav base that came glued to the dashboard when I bought the car. I've always worried about removing it, thinking I would be left with a horrible mess, and the 'Z' dashboards aren't the easiest to clean! But no, it came off without any trouble, and now I have a dashboard with lovely clean lines, happy days!

Sorted the high wiper resting position following the HowTo guide. (also fitted some bosch aero wipers) They finish at the lowest point now rather than going back up the screen. Only one small cut on a finger as well, rather pleased with myself.

First run out today since beginning of October and a chance to test my new knob (Stormworks)
It's good to have her back on the road again!
