What have you done to your car today?

Been having a strange kind of clunk sound coming from what seemed like inside the dashboard. Without the music on it’s annoying! Thought it was my wipers rattling for a bit! Or maybe my front bushes. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when it happens but it seems like when the car sort of flexes, or goes over a bump, and I turn sharply etc.

Did a quick google and forums came to the rescue as usual. it seemed like it might be my strut bars. So I spent 30 seconds tightening those a bit further, although they were already fairly tight. Didn’t hear any further clunks on the drive home. Let’s see if it works.

Anybody else come across the clunk sound before?

If that doesn't fix it then look at the lollipop bushes next.

Seems to have worked a treat! Touch wood. I managed about a quarter turn on each of the nuts. Maybe that was all it needed. Very much hope that fixed it

Its a slang term for the round bushes that the rear of the front wishbones (lower suspension arms) locate in.
Ty  I have had mine replaced last year. I could hear them too.

You can get a genuine one here:-

Replaced brake pads and rotors after my back-to-back Laguna Seca trackdays. These pads were just 3 months old  Brake Pads.jpg

Pulled the front bumper off to attempt to rectify a water ingress issue on one of the headlights - did not go exactly how I'd planned in my head :headbang: managed to snap one of the plastic brackets that holds the bumper tight in place where it meet the wing, then had a hell of a job getting the plastic lid off of the back of the headlight unit - transpired that a previous owner decided to Sika flex it on, in some sort of attempt to keep the water out.

I know fine well that it's just going to fill up again eventually, so looks likely I'll be looking for a replacement unit, or a set of those fancy 2xcite numbers when I have a spare £400.

Oh, and hello everyone! Picked up a sterling grey 2.2 roadster with just 75k on the clock last weekend and (apart from working through the ever growing snagging list) absolutely loving it! Was pleasantly surprised to find that it does not drive like a 20 year old car
