I was driving in a normal traffic, when I shifted into 3rd my car suddenly lost ALL the power.
I got EML and yellow (!) on the dash.
I downshifted into second and first, full gas, but my rpm was bouncing from 1000 do 1500 rpm.
I got to a bus stop, turned off the car, turned it back on again... the problem is gone.
But it's weird and I don't like it.
I scanned the codes and got P16C1 and P0103 . The second one is weird as I replaced the MAF a month ago.
I thought I maybe money shifted into first... bit honestly I think I didn't even let go of the clutch. I would have heard the RPM jumping to the redline.
Secondly - recently my gearbox started to ... grind a bit. It feels like it's a bit more crunchy than it used to be. And I wonder if somehow connected? (only a bit. The manual gearbox in E85 it's "notchy" from the factory. Mine feels a bit more)
It's a 2003 2.5l 5MT.
