The M that time forgot :'(

So quite a few months ago (approx 5) I went to Dick Lovett BMW @ Cribbs Causeway (Bristol). They have ALOT of cars there, the nice shiny new ones out front and car park upon car park of 'older' cars out back.

I saw an M Coup at the time, it looked nice and in a way was one of the temptations I had to upgrade to my M. Went back there today as I was passing to see it parked in exactly the same place, looking like this:

Sad times :'(

Can't believe BMW have let a wonderful car get into this state and left it stagnant, out in the elements for sooooo long?! It's high spec with Nav and B/T, cruise, piano dash etc. I wonder if it'll be out all winter too or if they'll ever sell it? Needs more than a quick valet IMO!

Ooooooo, nasty, evil stealer b*stards - I wonder if they even realise how many £000s they have allowed to decay off that car ? I put aside any anti-coupé thoughts out of deference for that poor ///M

shocking... wonder if there is an issue with it? Even so remind me of a van my dad bought back in the 90's it rusted away within 5 years of him owning it he reckoned it had been sat in a field for years before sale brand new

:o shabby & the rusting under the rear window is shocking :o the other bits are easily sorted but that is a major NO=NO 8)
i wouldn't go near the car knowing it had that lurking

BTW what was the price ?

that rear window is interesting. there was a thread recently about water gathering at the bottom of the rear window and whether it causes any damage if that water is left there.

well, theres your answer.

it's bad, and say a lot about the dealer

don't think it's rust though.

sure looks like rust  what else could it be ?

that rust is worrying, i have never known rust on a zed

any idea how long this as been stood like this, worrying for anybody who wants to do very little miles a year

Sad to see, but on the boot I don't believe that to be rust, there is no lifting of the paint around it.

I suppose they could cut the rust out and put a fabric roof on it! :poke:  :)

Cheeky :telloff:

There's no price at all in the window. It's like they've just abandoned it and left it to rot. The tax expires in November, there was sooo much gunk and leaves etc in the tray under the windscreen.

Yer I think you're right, it's not rust but just grime and dirt build up. May well be corrosion underneath though...I certainly wouldn't want to be the owner of this either after BMW give it a quick once over!

Strange that such a desirable Z4 (the coupe) would sit and go rusty on at the dealership. It's almost like no one wanted a coupe
