Guess which age group made up nearly the entirety of those out and about, shopping as usual
Yep, you guessed it, the same demographic that we are meant to be shielding
So my daughter is at home trying to teach herself quadratic equations, so that we can protect the vulnerable, while the “non-shielding” 80 year olds are out shopping like normal.
I’ve not been at the weekend but no doubt it’s busy on a Saturday, with people of all ages carrying on as normal, just with a mask on
So it got me thinking, rather than when will this nightmare end, I think it’s now a case of how much longer will the public put up with this.
I think once the vulnerable are vaccinated people will be ignoring all restrictions on mass
I have just returned from the High Street to post 3 letters overseas.
I had to stand in a queue for a half an hour with old people. I'd say 90% were over 70. All wearing masks (outside on the street) whilst we waited for the teenager at the entrance to receive his notification via walkie-talkie to let another 2 people in.
