STOLEN! YL03 HCA - Update 5 - Home, for now!

Sorry to hear of this. I hope you get news ASAP. I had no idea about the tracker checks that thieves do, good info and it's well worth a drive round in a mate's car!

Ian cannot believe it, we meet up last night for a drink and I coded your car!! Hope you get it back ASAP if you need anything give me a call.

Really sorry for you. These are more than cars to us and know you've put time and energy into it.

I'm surprised that police think thieves would actively target it. End of the day it's a book value car of £6k (of course so much more to you) so a lot of risk for what it's worth compared to stealing high end saloons. Probably hard to sell on too as it's an enthusiast car. I'd be more inclined to think they wanted to break in the house and took the car having found keys.

On that basis you might find it dumped somewhere

Sorry to hear this, i hope they catch the thieving scum who stole it from you and you get it back.

Ash

Sorry to hear this! Must feel horrible. Driving from Bristol to north Wales then to Swindon then back to Bristol tomorrow will keep an eye out for you. Hope it turns up.

So sorry to hear about this. I don't suppose you installed and enabled any of the location tracking services of your Android tablet that could be used to track it?

All the best,

Dan

you'd be surprised. mate had his house done over for his car. it was a 8 month old corsa 1.2sxi nothing fancy there. not even any factory upgrades. he is out during the day at work using the train so they had lods of time. its a quiet street, they went in though the back and took only his keys and xbox as the tv is by the hallway door. if they had just gone though the other door in the hall they would have found all his camera gear and sports stuff all in pelli cases.... much easier to lift than disconnecting the xbox.

just been and found all my keys and moved them to a safe place.

I agree, very unfortunate timing. Fingers crossed it will be found.

I know how you feel,we had our house broken into a couple of months ago.
I found the police to be a waste of time.
On the positive side,LV insurance came good in the end.
If you have to have a new back door, look at the Rock door range, composite reinforced ,highly recomended

Sk93 to water leak may cause them to leave to car local as it was gushing out last nights. I would have a drive round to see if you can find it.

Sorry to here this news

Happening all to often nowadays, it's so sad. I know a guy who had all 3 of his cars 'removed' from his driveway one night last week. Same scenario, targeting the cars while he was asleep in the house.

I'm not sure if I'd rather leave my keys near the front door or risk scumbags rummaging through my house while I sleep looking for the keys.

Fingers crossed you get a good result

That's the problem. I'm never so sure what to do. When I'm out , nobody could ever get the keys for reasons I won't say. But when I'm in I can't make my mind up, one of my worst fears is someone getting near me and my gf in the night if they were hunting. I'd rather they took the metal, it pains me to say.
