Some Days!

Went to see a friend yesterday who lives in a quite gated complex, parked on a quiet road after 30 mins or so came back to this! :x

Parking your car in any quite gated community or quite gated anywhere doesn't quite guarantee you immunity from f**ktards.
They're everywhere.

Some nasty aholes out there, I remember my sister buying a new black Suzuki jeep back in the 80s. She parked it in one of our local pubs (Sauf London) and when she came out someone had keyed every panel! Car had to be resprayed! I saw a video a while back of someone keying an Aston, little did they know the car was fitted with security cameras in the mirrors, they caught the individual. :police:

That's a fact! I am always picky about where I park my car and have been for the past 15 years, in that time this is the second time someone has caused malicious damage.

On my dash cam I can see five people that went past the car, one stands out as the culprit since he had keys in his right hand (closet to the car). Turns out he is a neighbour of my friend, my friend confronted him but he denies doing it. Unfortunately my dashcam is facing forward and does not capture him causing the damage.

My friend is going to check with the administrators of his complex if they have cameras pointing down that particular stretch of road. Although even if there are cameras there, no guarantee I'll succeed in getting him to pay for the damage.

I'm certainly not advocating that you should break into this kids house, find his bedroom and then trash his monitor for the PC/PS5 with a big crack across the screen, leaving a post it note to say karma is a bitch

Sucks to have idiots not respect others property. The quality of respect of others in culture is taking a wrong turn.

[ref]sars[/ref], You’ve gone for a much politer and better outcome than I was proposing

[ref]Argyll Andy[/ref], let me guess, your proposal requires some sort of sporting implement to hit balls with :idunno:

Yip, and his balls would most definitely have been getting rattled

He must have a car, parked somewhere

Thats what I would be thinking as well, he may need some paint and a bit of rubber as well in a few month time

Some funny comments here, cheered me up

Oddly when my mate confronted the suspect he stated that his car had been damaged too in his building's underground car park!

Sadly fixing the scratch will have to wait a while since the car needs a service, just got a box full of front suspension bits that need fitting and shortly the insurance is due too! But it might well give me the push to get the wheels sorted when they deal with the scratch.

I hate shits that do this and I can guarantee he is guilty - just saying stuff to take the blame away from hisself

You don't say.

Meh.. Parenting Rant. Ppl aren't raised right anymore. My children would be appalled at that kind of mindless vandalism.

It is s**t that this has to be a part of life - in my experience, the sooner you get it fixed, the sooner it is forgotten & you can move on.

If it's not idiots like this, it's some fool that cannot park in a supermarket that wipes your bumper & drives off.

Or even worse, a next door neighbour that bump-parks & denies everything.

Sigh. I've lived through all 3.

In terms of fixing this kind of scratch, I saw someone using wet and dry with water and applying lacquer then let it dry, then sand down and polish.

Has anyone tried this, as I have a similar scratch on my 440i GC from what I assumed was a handbag buckle in a car park😝
