This thing about colours and the recent poll, I have to say you are all wrong! The best colour is Sapphire black judging by how many black ones are out there :poke: :fuelfire:  especially when I was looking for mine, every other one seem to be black! I wonder if there any stats of how many Z4s of each colour were sold.

I've seen some for the rarer colours on another forum, I'll see if I can find it again.

All I remember is 264 VO 35is were made.

Interesting, is the plaque genuine? looks like a random plate stuck on somewhere where it shoudn't be.

Common as pig shite…only 258 Atacama Yellow 35is made world wide

Hence why they are the best, since everyone bought one in that colour  I wonder how many AY for all Z4 variations.

I now own a VERY blue and a VERY red BMW as of today. Now those are both 'proper' colours!

Melbourne Red is mighty fine and Estoril Blue is lovely (if you can look past all the feckin water). :D

Both fantastic colours, I've had Melbourne red and it's stunning and always admired Estoril blue since it came out on the E36s.

100% not genuine, of course. But it is exactly where the equivalent plaque is on the 1M, and other M cars, so I'd say it's a random plate stuck exactly where it should be!

VO is not a flat colour. This is from the original advert
That made go 250 miles to get mine
So you went 250 miles for a photo-shopped car colour?
That photo has been 'doctored', unless it was a factory reject! :poke:

I'm not so sure, here's one of mine that is definitely not edited - looks very similar. It does only look like that once every 4 years though. You need a rare weather day and to have just washed it...

I travelled 501 miles for mine because of the colour, not that it's a competition

And you bought it from a VERY suspect Scotsman too. :poke: :D

Yes. How many times?......it's because they are horrible and only the mentally bewildered ordered them. Still....at least they are 'rare'

Not rare enough!

Was it not a M3 colour back in the '90s? I seem to remember someone having an EB M3 'Evo' cab which I thought was quite the thing, even though I could never have afforded one then.

Yes correct, I believe it first appeared on the E36 M3

Jet Black solid paint.

Ah....gotcha. I was wondering if he got his spreadsheets mixed up with US segregation from the 1960s TBH.

And no doubt against the masses, I quite like that, different to all the non colour ones

I like it too. I know some will have hang ups about brown coloured cars but I think in this case it suits the shape / design of the E89. Years ago the local dealer here showed me an E87 1 series in this colour but it didn’t suit that car.
