 After a short absence from Zs the purchase of a ZMR late last year set me off again & id been trawling the classifieds for a few weeks in search of Phoenix yellow Si E86 but soon as i spotted this 2008 Ti silver car advertised on PH i was on the phone :) 180miles away near Glasgow but 30mins of chatting , exchange of vid clips + pics & a deal was provisionally agreed .
Its a car i tried to buy in January 2018 ( but seller changed his mind & decided to keep it a while longer :( pretty sure whoever fitted the 224s , rear M bumper & quad conversion was a forum member ( it was'nt the current seller) so if any longtermers recognise the car shout up .
Its not totally showroom condition :( wheels are in dire need of refurb , outside & inside both need time some spending along with a service + MOT but otherwise its in fine fettle & more importantly drives like it should with no twitch or quiver from the front end & no knocks or rattles from the rear .

Looks awesome, so it's a 3.0, not an "M"?
I'm toying about getting one as well, not sure how firm the ride is though, roads around Surrey/Hants are dreadfull :headbang:

Yes its the Si N52 3.0 , ride is never going to be a sportscars glory but its tolerable on all but the worst of tarmac .
Best advice i could give if comfort is a priority is try one out on Se springs & then one with Msport springs , both are the same Si 265bhp engine .
Se cars are out there on Se springs but with Msport seats , steering wheel & anthracite headlining , you just have to look a little harder for them .
Right now the market is awash with many decent examples around £7k/£8k

Congratulations on your latest purchase mr wilks.

And that's good advice to look for an SE with the M-Sport seats if ride comfort is a priority. Shame I sold my Sport Coupe a few weeks ago as KevBrowne would have been welcome to try it - I'm in Berkshire but only a couple of miles from the Surrey and Hants borders!

Roads are pretty terrible in most places these days. My nephew has needed 2 new tyres, 1 disc shield and an alloy wheel repair in the last few months due to potholes in Surrey. :( Although he's got an E46 3 Series, it has MV2 wheels so it's sort of relevant to Z4 owners!

Yep, I'm still keeping my eye out, thanks for the advise. I really should be looking for a car for the wife first, I suppose that's more important but I keep stumbling on all these nice looking Zs.....
