4-pots are so powerful they're kept behind bars:

If looks could kill, I think there'd be one less seagull in the world (also thought "MINE!" would be the best title for this photo - for anyone who's ever seen Finding Nemo):

Shame I can't claim ownership of this photo (it was Mrs a11y who took it) otherwise it'd be in the photo comp:

If I had a stubby then those photo would be even better (Nosa - there's quite a few photos of your car in action in my link above):

If anyone who was away wants a copy of the photos without my watermark then PM me - I can e-mail them.

Cheers

the relaxed approach to the drives :driving:
hmmm... might have to adjust your pace settings if you come to the Welsh meets then...

Approach rather than pace, as Siftah explained. One fun bit, on Skye, was chasing down an S4 - almost didn't bother at first so he had a bit of a head start. I really wanted him to stop so I could tell him the car behind was a 2.5! I recall JimmyPop punching the air as we cleared a couple of slow campers, they actually did us a big favour, we then had a great run down to Mallaig with very little in the way by that point :driving:

Other fun thing with this one, the amount of overtakes :D Although not so fun when someone decides he's been passed by enough Z4s and closes the gap you're aiming for :o

Was very surprised by Scotland, some of the roads you could have been in Europe.

Some cracking pictures Guys.

May nick the " Im aavin a fag" one for my Avatar.

Ah we've managed to compromise - she's happy (ok, willing) to give it another shot as long as we take an airbed and hair straighteners!

Get yourself to CostCo and pick one of these up: http://gallery.me.com/siftah/100038/Powerpack

It's a battery + a 300 watt inverter and will be enough to run a pair of straighteners from for a weekend or more. I bought one a few years back for the exact same reason, girlfriend totally refused to camp without having somewhere to plug her straighteners in :)

You can also use it to jump start your car if the battery goes flat, so it's pretty handy :)

I forgot about that! That made me chuckle for a few miles :)

Idea was to catch 1oClock ferry on a Friday, gets us there for just after 3pm, take in a distillery or 2, Saturday Drive round the Island and take in a visit to Coal Isla, Picnic stop on a beach somewhere, and do the tourist thing, Sunday, Breakfast, Shopping etc Catch 1 o clock ferry back to Kennecraig.
I really like the sound of this - despite having never acquired the taste for whisky (I kept that quiet over the weekend in case I was booted back over the border!):)

I like the sound of this too - Mrs G hasn't acquired a taste for whisky either, so :driving: + then change pilot to allow for :drinking:! She loves driving the Zed too!

Don't worry Taz, you've got half a litre on him! He'll have to catch you before he can rear-end you :poke:

Nah, Zermatt drives a 3 litre, was about 2 inches off rear ending him on Saturday, it's not the engine....Its the driver that counts

Just goes to show what a difference a lower unsprung weight can make :P

Regarding a trip to Islay summer 2011, sounds like there may be a bit of interest, So as not to Hijack this thread I will start a new one, I appreciate its a year away but I intend to try and gauge how much interest there will be, I have already sourced a campsite and a couple of hotels. I am also going to contact Islay Airport and see if we can get on the Runway!!! 8)
LOTs to see and do on Islay and as Siftah said if we do it over 2 nights we should hopefully get a larger show from south of the border.
Regarding likeing or disliking Whiskey, Personally I hate the taste of the stuff but some of the smells you get in the mash rooms in the distillerys is fantastic and I love the whole Scottish whisky heritage thing.

The drive down to Kennacraig is also one of the best in Scotland, the scenery and roads are fantastic and we get to do it twice.

Definitely - there's no real difference between the cars on the road, whatever size the engine. The speeds through the corners are the same and that's what really makes these cars quick :)

Yup, have to apologise for my air-punching - was just relieved to get the campers out the way and show you what 2.0l of power can do ;)

P.S. Ally - really like that pic of my car - might be stealing that for my signature!

Ok, I've managed to narrow the huge pile of photo's my good lady took at the weekend to a not quite so huge pile.
