Roof keeps getting stuck...

Anyone here have this problem?! Is it something I should worry about? Maybe take it back for BMW to look into?!

Basically, the roof opens and closes, but on occassions I am finding that I have to give the roof a little push from the inside!!

Your hydraulic motor might be on it's way out..

Sometimes if you dont use it for a while it kinda gets settled into place. A few frequent uses later and the problem is usually sorted out.. good luck.

The motors have been known to become waterlogged and fail. There's a drainage hole that gets blocked up. Thread somewhere about clearing it. Also, it might be worth checking the state of the hinges on the frame. In the end the motor is working against weight and friction so if they are little used they could be stiff nad need a clean.

Definately hydraulic motor on its way out. better start saving up the money for it. There is now a DIY on it and like what i did, i suggest u drill a hole underneath so the water can run out. ur other choice is do the DIY now and drill the hole. u will keep having to push the roof now and then by hand but will save u a lot of money

Just curious, how much does it cost?? I just had mine replaced by the dealer through their regional rep at no charge..

Surely this is a warranty claim on a 2006 car? I'd get it in ASAP!
