Yes I am home after hospital and time in a care home -which was bloody awful!
I’m still struggling around the house with a walker frame and a lot of furniture surfing.
You would say I’m a bit of a basket case. I suspect it’s going to be a long uphill struggle and at times I wonder if ever?
I get weekly specific physio but it is difficult as my wife has just been taken to hospital so I’m also trying to look after myself - neighbours have been very helpful - however all my “things “ need to be within arm’s reach so my seating area looks like a tramps squat!
If my condition was marked out of 10 i would say I’m a reasonable 3
The car remains in the garage, I sincerely hope I see it taxed again with me driving it in spring 2025
Never mind, I’m still vertical and I’m trying to retain a positive attitude!
Ps - The handrail is called a Norfolk Rail - it seems to do the job - without it I would be scuppered!

Sorry to hear about your wife Ron and hope she makes a quick recovery . I know exactly what you mean by furniture walking/surfing and needing everything close to hand . You will get there its just a matter of time . The main thing is making sure you don`t sit down for too long and just keep yourself mobile as much as possible. Easier said than done I know but needs must
I have to keep reminding myself that this situation is currently life limiting and not life threatening!

I had care twice a day- they arrived between 0700/ 1045 And 1700/220 they had to be show all home appliances so were like having chocolate fire guards - they weren’t free either!

You are going through a hard time especially with your wife being in hospital . Carers timekeeping has been horrendous for years now unfortunately but you just have to remember its not there fault . I take it you can contact your wife by mobile or direct to ward .
