Even after all this time, I still get very emotional and often fill up with tears when asked to explain “what happened “ there’s nothing I can do and to be honest it doesn’t embarrass me either.
It was a traumatic experience which has had a long lingering effect- I suppose to man up / get a grip would not be a good thing,
My focus now is on the improvements I’ve seen recently.

I was able to get into my garage using my arm crutches, drop the roof of the car - do a bit of wall surfing and get into the car yesterday!
Oh and probably more important- get out again
The physio at the convalescence home said I was a determined old bugger!

UPDATE
Unfortunately not a good one, Ron has had another fall, a bit too enthusiastic on his crutches is what he’s put it down too
He’s back in hospital and very unfortunately back to where he originally was, very little movement, coordination etc. they are looking at the possibility of surgery this time but a proper assessment next week will decide that.
He phoned tonight and was in reasonably good spirits, well as much as he can be in the circumstances and he asked if I could give you all an update.
Fingers crossed it won’t be as bad as last time and he’ll recover quickly
