I have borrowed and I’m using a “Revitive” plate ie the gismo advertised on the TV but I don’t know if it’s working or if it’s just a snake oil product.

Has anyone got any experience?
Sounds a bit snake oil to me but hey, if its not doing any harm why not try it?

It certainly makes leg muscles twitch!

Presuming you don’t have a pacemaker or defibrillator, it’s unlikely to cause any problems and might serve keep your muscles functioning whilst the spine cord injury recovers.

You could try asking your rehab physician about it (if they visit the unit where you are) or the physios. Otherwise, ask your spine surgeon when you see them next if there has been any research to support it. As suggested already, I suspect it’s made mostly of freshly squeezed limbless reptile juices!

Ne fitted kit!

My reasoning for: -
Physios use Tens machines

My reasoning against:-
Celebratory endorsed on TV

I've had a revitive the past 2 years Ron, it's supposed to help increase blood flow to the leg muscles and decrease leg acheing etc if you have vascular issues. I can't say it's really helped me to be honest but it might be that I lost the patience to sit every day for an hour using it. Only reason I got it was a few years back out of the blue the feet suddenly went numb over a few days. I had tests done as thought I had the onset of diabetes as numb feet and toes is a sympton but was given the all clear. Was then sent to a vascular clinic but that checked out OK as well. I now think it's connected to sciatica I've been getting on and off down both legs the past 3 years so thought I would try the Revitive.

I've found longish daily walks has helped alot and using an exercise bike which has decreased the numbness.

Certainly try it if you're less mobile at the moment as it gives the leg muscles a work out :)

If its no use, you can always sell it on ebay

Or buy on eBay?

That’s my viewing tonight
Ron, have you considered seeing if anyone would drop buy and take you for a blast to relieve the monotony?
I'm thinking [ref]B21[/ref] isn't a million miles away. A blast in the yellow peril may not fix your legs but it should give the old sphincter muscles a decent work out.

Sphincter would be fine - but the spinal chord ? Probably not!

You’re correct tho - I’m bored out of my tree

Apparently the physio team have been out to my home to measure for additional bannister rails and grab handles all over.
They want rid of me from this place

Happy to assist with bowel movements  :driving: :driving: :driving: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed:

The fitter has been out to my house and fitted the additional bannister rail - not pretty but if it does its job then I’m happy

Home tomorrow - first visit since June 13thIMG_3089.jpeg

That handrail may not be too pretty, but it looks like it will do the job and that's all that matters at the moment!

Enjoy getting home at last.

Not pretty as you say and make sure they make everything right when they remove it as they are not always good at doing that . The main thing is that you are going home . I know how that feels after being in hospital etc for a long time . All the best . Tony.

Nothing like being back in your own home and bed again, good to hear Ron

Lived in bungalows most of my life so stairs are kind of alien to me :)
