Where there’s a will - there’s a way!

Maybe not elegant but!
There was someone recently selling a hardtop lifting device. Could you get that and adapt it?

Once you master straightforward getting in and out again Ron. The next step is to try it when parking near a kerb! I tried it recently on a visit to Woodhall Spa. It was quite embarrassing but the young lady whose feet I fell at kindly offered me help to get up from my knees. I was wearing light coloured trousers. So we went for a meal in a decent hotel with me looking more scruffy than usual. Two big black patches on my knees.

Let me know if the handles work. My wife (Not me you understand) struggles to get out as elegant as she would wish. I presume they are just kept in the car and attached as and when you want to get out

Well I expect they matched the ones sewn on your cardigan elbows.
Oi...that's my friend! Although he was a school teacher, so 'elbow patches' were part of the uniform IIRC. :D

Now it looks like Nanu has replied its me ronk!

Good to see you're making steady progress Ron.

I had some of those grip assists on the Z3 for my mum. They certainly help especially on a low car. The only problem she had was having the strength to push herself up, she was in her 80s so I just ended up pulling her up and out but the grip was helpful so she could steady herself. Definitely worth a punt.

Best wishes,

Tim.

After my accident i had little or no upper body strength.
I couldn’t use the trapeze hanger above the bed. - However things have improved over the weeks.

Slowly but surely…glad to hear you’re seeing progress, frustrating though the pace of recovery must be.

I think that is one of the most frustrating things about having accidents when you are older Ron. The healing process takes much longer. But keep up the good work you will get there in the end.

Just take your time Ron, no point rushing and doing more harm than good, you will get there and just imagine how good that Zed will feel when you do

They keep telling me that the signs are promising - Im just an impatient old sod!

I have borrowed and I’m using a “Revitive” plate ie the gismo advertised on the TV but I don’t know if it’s working or if it’s just a snake oil product.

Has anyone got any experience?
