Pork, Strudel & Cheese With Holes - a road trip :-)

You were lucky to get off with only 'hare line' scratches Zermatt. I still get very nervous seeing animals on the road after my pheasant experience last year.

And we had a 3km tunnel as well srhutch. Bing feels very inadequate with his exhaust now :D

At 30c today and so far sunshine every day, the roof has been down permanently.

Roof has been down all the time whilst driving since Maidstone, even at, ahem, higher than average speed on the 'bahn. 8)

I have no problem with my exhaust, on the way back through that tunnel I found 3rd gear at 70mph - heaven :driving:

We've not posted any pics yet as we've really not had time... However I have nicked one of Tom's taken at about 7am this morning at the top of Route 500 - one of the top 10 best driving roads in Europe apparently. I'm sure he won't mind... We should be very clear that shortly before this nobody was flashed by a camera, and ZermattV did not terminate a mountain hare with his bumper.

Well, the roof would be down for for Bing & Jax, and I guess Rob had the targa roof off... the joy of a convertible...

...did you pretend to join in by having your beetle's sunroof open? :poke:

Nice to see a bit of class in amongst the fat-ass porkers though Bing... just such a pity that Jax spoilt the look by parking his Boxter the wrong way 'round...

Have fun today guys and enjoy the passes.... :driving:

Now you mention it, change the colour of the lights and that is definitely the front of a car. :?

So, quick update before bed. What a drive. Seriously - we've already travelled three days to get to this point, it had to be worth it. And it was. Even though it pissed down. I don't think words do this country, or the roads we have driven today, any justice at all. The whole place is awesome - I'm pretty sure scenery doesn't get much bigger. There are loads more photos, but here's a 3 or 4 to keep you interested, shamelessly stolen from Wee Bing :

On the way up to Susten Pass :

There is a small furry beaver under my car in this shot, more to follow on that - but it's mate scared the living daylight a out of me when I got out the car...

This is at the top of Susten Pass :

Tunnels. So many tunnels - it's a grown up child's dream :driving: :driving:

I have to say, whatever you think about Porsche, they got the exhaust right for sure :D

As you'd expect, Mr Scott has way more, way better photos, but they'll be a while coming. Worth waiting for though, I can assure you.

Team PVR & Bing have a huge trip back from Savognin to Calais tomorrow, whilst Jax, Tom & Zermatt head off to Modena. It will be a sad parting, I really wish we were staying on now :( . However, there's always Norway next year

More to follow tomorrow and in coming days
